Hands down best EDC knife
I'm the kinda person that carries a knife with me everywhere I go. This knive serves the role of an EDC (everyday carry) knife perfectly for the following reasons:-Lightweight. EDCing a lighter knife is IMO safer because accidents can happen and if you drop your knife it's best to have the least amount of weight possible falling towards your feet. There's also less chance of chipping your blade when its falling with less momentum.-Comfortable. The grip on this knife is top notch and feels very secure in the hand. I wear medium/large gloves and this knife is the perfect size for my hands. The pocket clip is titanium on the salt and it's tactilally satisfying to touch when you are checking if this feather weight is still in your pocket.-Durable. H1 steel is made with nitrogen instead of carbon giving it rust proof properties. Knives we carry everyday should be able to handle any environment and it's comforting to know I don't have to baby this knife. Another property of H1 is that it is a work hardened steel. The blade is extremely hard on the serrated version due to the extra grinding required. So not only do you get the longevity of serrated edge, but the steel is hardened by the process as well. The edge on this knife is also crazy sharp, be very careful with it but also be aware that sharp knives are safer than dull knives (a sharp knife requires less force so while it may give you a deep cut a dull knife can require forces that could lop off a finger).Aesthetically pleasing. Looks aren't everything of course but they can definitely influence which knive lives in your drawer and which in your pocket. The angles on the dragonfly2 are elagant and functional, perfect for a knife you'll be whipping out in public. The handle is a nice shade of yellow but I wanted to personalize mine a bit so I bought a bag of scarlet rit dye along with this knife and now the color is personalized to my tastes. FRN (Fiberglass reinforced nylon) takes the dye very well and works even better if you add a bit of white vinegar to the bath. There are tons of creative ways you can dye the handle making it your own. One neat method I found was using hot glue on the handle before dyeing to act as a resist to the dye. I personally dipped the handle blade-up slowly and repeatedly to give the bottom of the handle a darker shade of scarlet and I couldn't be happier with the results (I'll add pictures when I figure out how :P).Well that pretty much sums it up, this blade is the best I've ever owned and I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks carrying a knife around is usefull.

Great with Spyder EDGE and H1 Steel
Before Reading the LAST paragraph below, keep POINTS 1-4 in mind regarding configurations:1. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ VG-10 Steel, Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is good for everyone as the steel holds and edge well, and resharpens easily enough, it is also relatively corrosions resistant.2. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ ZDP 189 Steel, Plain edge: FIRST, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT KNIFE: I have not seen it offered in a Serrated edge but they my offer it I am not sure: This knife is ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXPERTS AT SHARPENING KNIVES. This steel is extremely hard and holds and edge exceptionally well. The disadvantage is that it takes someone who is a very skilled sharpener to resharpen and work with this steel. It is 3% carbon so it is susceptible to corrosion if not cared for properly.3. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ H1 Steel, Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is good for everyone. This steel is advertised as RUST PROOF. This steel is relatively hard and holds an edge well, and resharpens easily enough.4. DRAGON FLY 2: w/ Aogami Blue Super Steel (Spyderco does Sprint Runs with this metal), Plain or Serrated edge: This knife is ONLY GOOD FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXPERTS AT SHARPENING KNIVES. This steel is extremely hard and holds and edge exceptionally well. The disadvantage is that it takes someone who is a very skilled sharpener to resharpen and work with this steel. It is a high carbon steel so it is susceptible to corrosion if not cared for properly. However. Syperco counters this by sandwiching the Aogami Blue Super Steel between a layer of 420J Steel on each side. This protects the Aogami steel from chipping, breaking, and corrosion. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHOICES. IT DOES TAKE SOME EFFORT TO SHARPEN CORRECTLY AS NOTED ABOVE, BUT THE RESULTS ARE WORTH THE EFFORT!NOW, WRITTEN BELOW ARE MY GENERAL COMMENTS ABOUT THE KNIFE IN GENERAL. THE ABOVE FACTS ARE SPECIFIC TO THE DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS OF STEELS AND BLADE TYEPES OFFERED.I am a huge fan of the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 in any of its configurations. This is a smaller knife that does not know it is a smaller knife. Its ergonomics allow it to be used as a larger knife. Its small size allow it to be used as an excellent ED (Every Day Carry). You can take this knife out in public, and because of its smaller size, most people do not generally look at you like you are evil or at looking to do harm to others. This knife has a generous blade and its light weight of 1.1 oz. makes it a joy to carry as you can easily forget that it is even in your pocket. The pocket clip allows for easy deployment and can be switched for left or right carry or you can simply take the clip off and carry it in a pocket. This knife can even be used on a keychain or a neckless due to its light weight. I own many expensive knives, but this relatively inexpensive knife has become on elf my favorite knives. NO MATTER WHICH STEEL YOU CHOSE, THIS KNIVE IS CAPABLE OF EDGES FOR HAIR WHITTLING LEVELS OF SHARPNESS!!!THIS IS AN EXCELLENT KNIFE NO MATTER WHICH STEEL OF BLAKE CONFIGURATION YOU CHOSE. IT IS HARD TO GO WRONG WITH THE PURCHASE OF THIS KNIFE!!!
