Kingston DataTraveler Kyson 128GB High Performance USB 3.2 Metal Flash Drive | Speeds up to 200MB/s | DTKN/128GB

I'm using this in a generally unrecommended use case because it's probably temporary, but it's been rock solid!The speeds are great when connected to a USB 3 port, the casing is super small and light, and the cost was perfect. Plus it's Kingston which is generally known to be a reliable and quality brand for flash products.Sometimes it does feel hard to plug in to USB ports, but I think that's just because the port and PCB inside aren't totally solid against the shell which I don't think is a problem.I've been using this drive connected to the USB port on my HDHomeRun Flex Duo, a network TV tuner box, for the DVR functions and it's been great. I don't record a lot or watch a bunch of live TV, so it's not getting super slammed 24/7 with live caching and recordings, just about three or four shows a week and it's been solid.

What to say.. I've used these drives for two years now. They write much faster than their similarly priced competitors but read even quicker. I've ran OSs off of them, multi-boot options, transferred large amounts of data, used one as an encrypted drive, and even run programs off of them.I'm only writing this review because I wanted to purchase more, and realized that they were so damn good, they need positive feedback. 10/10 option, I cannot in good conscience recommend any other portable USB drive option.

Write speed lags significantly behind read speed, but it's still the fastest write speeds compared to anythng else in the price range, by far. The compact size and thin metal construction are an advantage or disadvantage, depending on your point of view. I keep it on my keyring with no issues.

I live in a developing country and all the major retail and department stores sell nothing but knockoff USB drives. There's a huge market here for counterfeit Kingston USB sticks. Every single one I've bought here was fake.So I had to come to Amazon to find the genuine article and I'm glad I did. It was works perfectly in my PC and PS4 and the label shows up as "Kingston DataTraveler" unlike the knockoff ones.I'm sticking to Amazon for these types of purchases from now on.

Read speed is fine, but write speed hovered around 70 mb/s-60 mb/s at its peak for same type files transfers in a 3.2 slot. It’s a flash drive though so that’s okay. It’s a good flash

Kingston has always been a reliable brand for memory in general. The flash drive in question is no exception. Memory prices had been on a slow decline, so I thought it was good deal in general.Performance is expected for a USB flash drive in that random read/writes isn't that fast, but for storage of documents and small(er) files, it does exactly what you want it to.

Great little USB 3.2 drive with plenty of capacity and speed for most all of my needs. Great price too. It seems like they could've included a cap to cover the drive when not in use though.

I got this to replace a PNY Turbo Attache that was failing and this drive is much nicer. It is way faster than that drive ever was and its super compact making it one of the best drives I could find for use on a keychain.
