Color Blooms Before Your Eyes
What a bright and fun product. This powder pigment is for the serious artist or for just having fun. Vibrant and surprising, a little goes a long way. This powder mixed with water by spraying either directly on the powder or spraying the paper and applying the powder brings fascinating results with literally firework patterns that explode with color upon contact. The powder can also be mixed with water in a palette and applied like any other water color. Just for the sheer joy of watching the explosion of color happen, everyone that likes to play with color should get at least one or two of these little containers of beauty. Tip: To use this pigment just poke a hole in the top with a thumbtack and "tap" the powder out. Seriously, just a tiny sprinkle will result in huge amounts of color blooms when wetted.

A great product worthy of adding to an artist's portfolio
I've been painting in watercolours and other media for about sixteen years when the teacher of our Art Group in Abram, near Wigan in England introduced us to Brusho. I bought a set of the powder based paints and also the DVD set 'Brusho Secrets' by Joanne Thomas. Having watched the DVDs and practised some of the exercises I found myself quickly producing stunning works of art which were loose and vibrant with intense colours. I'm very impressed by the versatility of this new medium and have used wax resist, bleach and other techniques to achieve very satisfying results. I'm usually a purist where watercolour is concerned and don't even use white paint but Brusho is a new innovation which I'm sure will establish its own niche in the spectrum of art techniques. A great product worthy of adding to an artist's portfolio.

Brilliant
I love brusho. It’s so vibrant and gives fabulous effects, a little goes a looong way and if your not careful will go everywhere. But the painting created are so worth it. It’s so much fun to play with

Provides opportunities for unusual creativity
This set was a gift for my lady friend, who really loves the effects she can get from this form of pigment. These are small containers of powdered pigment. A little goes a long way, and the colors are very intense. At first she used this medium for mostly abstract work, but as she became more comfortable with it, she is now doing more representational work and is very happy with it. As a note, i also ordered a package of the very fine makeup applicators to use when applying the crystals directly to paper.

Do Not Purchase Here!
I love using Brusho, but I would not purchase it on Amazon again! I ordered a box of 24 for $87.00 and three individuals. The two individuals were in envelopes, but the package of 24 were shipped in the Brusho box. I am very environmentally conscious, use my own bags at the grocery, recycle, Ect., but this was a gift and the Brusho box looks terrible! The shipping label is stuck on the entire top of the Bush box & the box itself is filthy and ripped. I am so embarrassed to give this gift! Honestly, I wouldn’t be happy if it were for myself. I ordered it here because they were out of it at Dick Blick and wouldn’t be back in stock in time for the birthday party. I think it is less than a dollar cheaper at Dick Blick. Amazon is usually quite a bit higher, so when I saw it for around the same price I purchased it. Never again!

Love em
They are so fun to play with and make great colorful backgrounds; or use as water colors. Just wish they already had a little salt shaker top so I didn't have to make my own holes.

BRUSHO-the name of FUN and Creativity
Love me some BRUSHO-I teach adult art classes so I am always looking for a new fun product that is easy to clean up-not too expensive and most importantly FUN-Brusho works on all points.I do a class with Dr Martins liquid watercolours that demonstrates wet into wet dry into wet etc-we drip the colours from various distances and use fan brushes-so we end up with some cool backgrounds-when they are dry we often do zentangles or art journal pages over the abstract-I wondered if the Brusho wouldn't work well with this class adding another textural dimension and sure enough it does.BRUSHO is tiny crystals that activate with liquid you can sprinkle them into wet, sprinkle on dry and spray them or drip wet onto them-mix with water and spray or brush like paint-very versatile-cleans up like watercolours-vivid coloirsThey have a DVD of technique ideas-I have watched some YOuTube TUTS on Brusho but bottom line more fun to just PLAY-another happy accident if you use gouache or acrylic over the Brusho the paint will wick up the colour so that's an interesting angle and they also work with various resistsSpray with a mist of Deco Art Americana n matte spray sealer finisher when completely dry to make them more water resistant-we also tried them on canvas and silk-both were fun experiments but require either sealer for the canvas or a setting step for the fabric-maybe a bit too messy for children under 12Buy the BIG set if you can afford it but the 12 colour set is lots of fun especially mixed with other products
