Very intricate assembly, but "constructive" education from eight to 80 years old
Beautiful Taj Mahal model (once constructed). Bought for our 8 year old grandson. He began assembly with his father, but once reviewed spent continuous time to finish the construction. Then said he wasplanning to be an architect some day.

Amazing set and quality for your buck
Once you finish the first five or so pages, it becomes easier to understand where to place pieces. The instructions are all in 2D eagle eye view, but it works out by showing 3D pieces when needed and by greying out previously placed pieces. I spent about 20-25 hours making this kit which is insane for the price of this product, and it looks aesthetically pleasing.Only critiques:1. Didn’t get the sticker for the flag, but it’s kind of funny because it is the “White House”2. I’m relatively confident they’re missing 5 small white cypieces, but I easily replaced the less noticeable ones with 5 identical shaped grey pieces (the kit provides many extra pieces).3. The small front trees on the front side have really pathetic leaves, and some of the brown branches are incapable of holding leaves (again, extra pieces tends to fix this)With the flaws I’m still giving it a 5 for the amazing affordability.

You will get frustrated
First of all, I will say this set is gorgeous and the final product is well worth it. However, I will say that these are not regular size bricks, I knew they were micro bricks and have done many sets with micro bricks before. I understood the frustration some of those sets have caused me, yet I still think the final products are always worth the hassle and this was no exception. The instruction booklet was for the most part simple enough to understand, however there were a few parts where I had to guess where pieces would go exactly, because they only show the pieces layer by layer. So as you’re building up the boat and the pieces are going outwards, some are supposed to dangle farther off previous pieces and that’s not well illustrated in the book. With enough focus you’ll understand where it goes but that was one of my issues starting out. My second issue was closer to the end of the build. There is a step on the instructions that will absolutely frustrate you because you’re putting the smallest 1x1 brick into corners where your fingers can’t fit and if they fall into the hollow inside of the boat, now they’re stuck unless you pry open the base to release it. Tweezers or smaller tools would definitely benefit you here. If you’ve never built sets with micro blocks before, this is not the set you should be starting out with. Get practice on smaller micro block builds and get a feel for how they work. Test those out and see how things dangle precariously off edges and understand that that is just how these builds go before committing to a larger build like this. Good luck and be patient. It’ll be worth it in the end

Exceeded expectations
All pieces fit and the interior lights made for a large impressive model. We love it!

Difficult to build, poor instructions
The instructions are at a such high level that they're hard to follow. I had to start over and over again. The 'micro mini' pieces are tiny, hard to assemble, hard to detach when necessary. I reached a point where the ship assembly didn't seem correct, even though I had followed instructions carefully and restarted a few times to make sure I had it right. I ultimately abandoned the project without completing it. I'm used to working with Lego sets, where the instructions are more step by step and much clearer.Update: I finally plowed through and built out much of the model, then discovered the kit was short by a significant number of 1x2 blocks, and some 1x1 blocks. Looking for a way to order additional bricks.
