Noodler's Ink 4.5 Oz Polar Black W/Eye Dropper

Ink is dark and opaque and flows smoothly through both of my Pilot fountain pens really well. Have not tested water resistance, etc. but it works superb on a high quality paper.

Comes with the noodlers Charlie.This is more ink than you will ever need in today's world. Smells slightly of antifreeze if you stick your nose it in. Writes on cellulose. Drying time is actually not very long and the smoothness really shines.As American as it gets. 10/10 would buy again

Noodlers ink makes good ink and Polar Black is what you expect from them. Very black with good coverage. If you are not buying the ink to use in an eye dropper pen, the bottle won’t work well for regular fountain pens as the neck is too thin. But the eye dropper is fine for that purpose. The free Charlie pen is not that great and not part of my rating which is just the bottle and ink. I was not impressed with the pen and how it writes, but you get to try the eye dropper filing process, and you can decide if you like that compared to the more modern ways to ink a pen.

My ink arrived almost 3 days early and was in perfect condition, and came with a real Noodler's "Charlie " pen. I love the ink and I know I'm going to buy more bc Noodler's is phenomenal stuff and I even inked my jinhao x450 with it. This ink writes like a dream on nearly every paper I've tried although on some it does bleed and feather a touch but that's the paper.Anyone considering this bugger bottle as a first pen and ink setup will really enjoy the ink. My mother in law preferred the jinhao nib but I fee like the Charlie is good for taking notes and fine line sketches. As for the funky smell from the free pen it's just the sealant used to prevent leaks and if it bothered you you can clean it off and put fresh silicone grease on it( I'm weird and the smell takes me back to art class) super pleased with this purchase and look forward to hopefully working with this seller again.

This ink is very, very black. The bottle is also huge. That is the good. The Charlie pen is horrible and it burps often but I really had no expectation otherwise. The real issue is the ink. I have now tried it on three different pens and it just won't flow; it is hard to start and skips and stops after one or two characters. It seems to be much too thick for a fountain pen. All three pens worked fine after a good cleaning and re-inking with different brands. I think I just got a bad bottle because other reviews seem to praise it.
