IP67 Waterproof 12V AC to DC Converter - 12V Power Supply for LED Landscape Lights and House Numbers

I used this to add low voltage DC lights to my AC low voltage transformer. Worked great. Without this product connect I got a flicker/strobe effect with my DC lights. After installing this, the flicker/strobe went away.

I used this to convert my 12VAC power supply to 12vDC to power a bow and stern light on my boat that is used as a flower bed. Works great.

Wired up some 12vdc house number from my existing 12vac lighting. I have some doubts about using in wet conditions due to gaps on either side if the supply. Opened the supply to check and saw no potting. I sealed the open gaps myself using Sikaflex 22. Now I feel safe it is waterproof.

Shorted out the first rain storm and destroyed $200 worth of outdoor lighting.

I have a house number set that uses 12VDC to operate. I had a power supply brick plugged into a wall outlet to power it. The problem was, it was on 24 hours a day. Right next to it I have a landscape transformer that puts out 12V for my outdoor lights. It operates on a photo cell. I wanted a way to change that 12V AC to DC. So, when this product became available, I decided to give it a try. Here is what i found:1. The unit is larger than I expected with short leads than I expected. I was able to put on spade connectors onto the AC connection points after stripping some more insulation. That fit on the contacts perfectly. There was just enough cable to allow the unit to be mounted to the wall next to the timer with Velcro.2. The unit does change 12VAC to 12VDC. I used a meter to check. By attaching the input to the Yard light timer, I was able to have the house numbers turn on at dusk and turn off at daybreak. It powered the house number sign with no problem.3. The water rating on this is such that it should work where it is mounted with no problem. It may get some occasional rain on it, but it is rated for that.Other than the larger than expected size and short leads, the unit does exactly what I want it to do. I am pleased with it and I would recommend it to anyone looking to solve a similar problem.

I am using a wall washer 12 volt low voltage DC light in my landscaping and needed to hook it into my 12 volt AC low voltage system. This converter works perfectly for that need. The size is compact and it was easy to install. I placed the converter close to the wall washer light on its own line that separates it from the other 12 volt lines. I wasn't entirely convinced of the waterproof rating so I placed it where it can not get wet. The converter does not seem to heat up and is silent in operation.The converter is performing well and seems to be a quality items. I am happy with it and expect many years of good service.
