Q: What battery bank is sufficient @ 3kw? 2 100ah's? Or?

I find that for each 1000 Watts use one 100 Ahr battery. A good deal is at Wal-mart for a 730 MCA marine deep cycle battery - that battery has 109 Ahr rating, the cost is really good ( $82.00 plus you need an exchange battery or pay 12.00 more). I have had NO trouble with the batteries and charge them on solar panels with a charger/regulator.

Q: is this non-sinusoidal or sinusoidal wave inverter. Should say on the back?

This inverter is a pure sine wave inverter, it is the closest format to a sine wave that comes from the power company. Also this inverter does have a difficulty with some induction motors (Fans). The other type is a digitized/synthesized inverter which some electronics/induction motors ( Fans/ blenders/vacuums ) are somewhat sensitive to, they will run but you will notice a difference in operation.

Q: Has anyone wired a remote switch into this unit? How? Im thinking about putting a big switch in the negative run from the battery. Thoughts?

If you are not proficient with attaching wires for a remote switch, do not attempt to do it, it will probably void your warranty also. I am an Aircraft Avionics Tech and I I have installed remote switching on two of my 3,000 watt inverters bypassing the original switch.

Q: I would like to purchase, but I would want a schematic of components so it could be repaired. Can you provide schematic of components?

I too am a consumer of this product, but do not have a parts list/ schematics of the unit, I would have to send the unit out for repair. The unit was made in china - hopefully there is a local repair shop to fix the unit if it needs it.
