Every package of this chandan is great. I e never been unsatisfied with it.

I've been using this product since the sixties, and it hasn't changed -- still a classic. Develops a fair amount of smoke. Still packed in tufts of cotton.

i was excited when these showed up today, everything i've heard about mysore chandan was positive and i was really looking forward to a sandalwood scent that was a bit less perfume-y than, say, morning star. unfortunately, something went way off the rails with this product.the first thing i noticed is that the boxes had barely any scent to them. ok, i thought, dry dhoop, probably need to put the flames to it before it really starts to open up. by "dry", i mean bones in the middle of the sahara on a tuesday in august in a windstorm dry... and unfortunately lighting them didn't help -at all-. these smell like lightly scented sawdust, and not cedar or applewood sawdust, oh no... somehow any sort of defining character of this "chandan" has been completely erased.also, these are so dry that a near-half-inch thick by maybe 1.5" long stick only burns for 13 minutes or so.to top it off, ~18 bucks for four boxes of a product of this low quality is outrageous. i'll definitely not be ordering them from this seller again, and i'd strongly suggest you don't either.
