I'm disappointed that the highest rated review is a negative one. So, I wanted to provide my experience with the product.Shipping: The package arrived triple-packed. The Amazon box - standard for any Amazon purchase. Manufacturer's box - a heavy cardboard (double ply on the bottom) that fit tightly around the product box. Then, the product box itself - an attractive light pink box. Inside that, the jewelry box was wrapped in foam and supported on either end by custom cut Styrofoam. In other words, it was extremely well packed, and arrived in perfect condition. It would take significant effort to damage it in transit.Worksmanship: As the product details tell you, this sucker weighs 17 lbs. It may not be "solid wood" but it feels substantial, and the finish was even and attractive.There was no varnish smell - I took it right out of the box and put it on my dresser. The drawers slide easily, and the felt is smooth and even. The design on the ring drawer is a nice touch. Definitely does not feel or look cheap.Features: The necklace drop is a nice feature, although it's short (~11") - I ended up using it for shorter necklaces, or those I could double up. The drawers are deep enough to hold a typical jewelry story box for earrings or a ring - I have a pair of nicer earrings that I keep in their original box. Three of the small drawers are undivided, one has a divider - they all come completely out of the box. Here's why, the fold down ring holder is really neat, but it turns upside down when it's put away. I had a pin that I put into it that fell out when I closed it. It landed in the back of the box - but because the other drawers come out, it was easily retrieved. Also, this thing is HUGE. Even between all of my costume jewelry and fine jewelry, it'll take me a while to fill it. I'm happy to finally have all of my stuff in one place.Price: Given the amount of money I've spent on the contents of the box, the price seemed reasonable for a large, well thought out, well constructed, attractive storage box. it does my jewelry justice.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. Some friends recommended I stay away from the jewelry boxes with the necklace holders in the doors because the necklaces can get stuck in the door so I chose this one.She loves it. It has lots of room for all of her stuff with plenty of space left over for the future. The quality seems pretty good and the box looks really nice.2022 update: It often seems like most reviews are from people who just bought the product which doesn’t show longevity so I decided to update this. She has now been using this jewelry box for seven years and it has held up great. It seems like it will last many more years.

The seller needs to do a better job of packaging items like this for shipment. This was a gift wrapped item but all they did was put the original shipping box inside a gift bag and toss it in a larger box, with no padding or protection and handed it off to UPS to play football with. The outside box was okay, but the original box inside the gift bag had a badly crushed corner, from getting bounced around inside the larger box with no padding. The inner box inside the original shipping box also had a badly crushed corner, and I worried that the jewelry box itself was damaged. Fortunately the inner styrofoam padding of the store display box (pink box with black lettering) protected the item from damage, but it was a very tense few moments when my wife opened her anniversary gift and saw that crushed corner. She looked pretty close to tears but was all smiles when she saw the jewelry box itself was undamaged.The jewelry box itself is almost perfect for her. She does not have pierced ears or wear earrings, so earring holders in jewelry boxes are just wasted space for her, and it's not easy finding good quality jewelry boxes without them. Fortunately, this is one of them, and it's a very nice, well made box. She especially liked the 12 necklace hooks, as she has a lot of chains and pendants. The box is a bit short of space for rings though. She has dozens of them and usually wears just a few at a time, so she needs good storage for the rest. The ring storage area on this box only holds about a dozen of her rings, the rest have to go into the drawers. She suggests that they rethink the design and maybe put four shallow ring drawers in the same space, greatly increasing the storage capacity. Ring rolls could also be put on the inner surface of the lid, either side of the mirror, which would be a better use of that space.

My husband bought me this for Christmas, it's the most beautiful jewelry box I've ever seen. Craftsmanship is remarkable and it holds more than I thought. It is heavy so you know it's made out of real wood. I'm a total natural person who loves woodwork so this was perfect for me, Well worth the price, and can be passed down through generations. Plus bonus it came with free shipping and arrived before it's delivery date.

This is a large jewelry box that has a separate area for rings. It’s well made and pretty piece.

All the reviews said it was a pretty big box so I knew it was going to be bigger but it was still bigger then I expected but it turned out to be better that way and I loved it so much more as soon as I saw I had room for everything plus more room incase I get more! It was a bit high in the price but definitely worth every penny. I would recommend this for anybody who has a lot of necklaces which is the main reason I bought it but it does have a place for anything and everything. And it didn't take forever to get here either. It arrived on time and packed tight.
