Since this is a replacement part, it is the size to fit the slot located in the cutting board "Carl RT-200 Rotary Paper Trimmer, 12'" that you can search and better understand the purpose of this refill. That said, I just whipped mine out it of its slot and grabbed my trusty ruler. It is 3/8 inch or about 10mm wide. Each cut runs the rotary cutter along this mat and scars the mat a little. After hundreds of cuts, the mat's scar interferes with cutting. Then the mat can be rotated top to bottom for two paths. Then flip this mat over so the bottom surface comes to the top and get two fresh cut paths. Ours gets a lot of use and after a decade or so, i guess we are about ready to flip our second mat and start using the two cutting paths on the bottom. If this is clear as mud, ask again and i'll try to answer you again. Unless you have some exceptional use for this, it likely belongs as a replacement mat for the cutter mentioned above. It has been an exceptionally useful tool and I added some of the cutter replacements that cut or perforate or score or etc type cuts. This is really nifty.

will this work on a fiskars 12" rotary trimmer?

Will this work with the 12” Creative Memories cutter?

My trimmer is the C ARL, but, it says that it works for all 12 inch trimmers.

i see two boxes of mats. therefore, i am assuming i am buying 2 mates, not four.

There are only the two mats. But, I believe there is an offer that includes 4 12 inch mats, as well.
