can this be used on the sole of the shoe to keep dye from staining feet?

I doubt very much if Aqua Seal would help with this issue. It is applied on the outside of the shoe and soaks into the leather to help nourish and protect it. The leather still remains porus in order to breathe. The dye is absorbed by the leather and is still able to leach out in warm, humid situations. In time, the staining will stop on it's own.
