Really soft stone. Kinda messy actually. But seems to do the trick.

Big enough to sharpen larger knives. Stable to use and sharpens your knives quickly. Very nice.

Product failed during the shipping process. The stone is fairly brittle. I have ordered two and both have arrived busted in the middle of the stone.

Easy to use for all kind of knives
I got this one for our son's pocket knife. He used it while hiking and regular fancy sharpeners won't even fit that knife. New Star Sharpening Stone will work with all kind of knives and scissors as well.

Basic and affordable
Great first time use but shouldn't be left wet for to long

It's big, but it's great. It's worth having to have something bigger than you expect.
I like the ease and sharpening knives with it, which I had not had with a sharpeners that were not sharpening stones before I think sharpening stones are the way to go and and don't get a little one get a big one that's what's working out for me. But the thing to do for me I think is to check out definitely some more videos and watch how sharpening with the stone is done. I already got a peek at a few but I'm gonna be more focused now.
