Q: Are the acrylic rods sturdy enough to roll out polymer clay?

I think the larger ones would work, especially with a softer polymer clay (like Sculpey as opposed to Fimo). The blue-handled ones are slightly tacky and grippy, and I think you’d run into difficulty getting a smooth surface on your clay. Th smallest ones I could definitely see some application for, if you do sculpting work with your clay, for detailed carving.

I used acrylic paint with the mandala dotting tools.

Q: Does this come with stencils?

Yes, it comes with one stencil, which is great as an outline, but it's so easy to find ideas on line. We brought this art at to a huge family function and everyone, from the young to the old loved this set.

Q: My set only had two of the three shown clear rods. Is it supposed to contain 8 total?

I have 3 clear rods for a total of 8
