Hanayama Cast Chess Silver Rook (Tower)

This one took me a bit to discover the hidden mechanism. It's not obvious, and when I found it I think I said, cool, out loud. As with all Hanayama puzzles, it's beautiful. More so than the regular line as it's taller and just stands out along with the other chess pieces. I had to get them all of course. It's a puzzle first, but a wonderful show piece after.

My daughter is in the Chess Club and she loved it! Very well constructed.

I don't want to upload a "dismantled" photo because it may ruin it, but I had fun with this and the piece looks so good on the puzzle shelf!

This felt solid and was a challenge to solve, but it was more of a challenge to put back into an unsolved state for others. I accidently broke it when putting it back together. It snapped back into place but I am too afraid to try it again or share it with friends now.

These chess puzzles are kind of pricey but they are very neat! The rook may be my favorite though it's a lot like the queen

I'm using them to build a chess set. While the puzzle is easy they are well crafted and quite beautiful. Too expensive for what they are though.

This mechanism for the puzzle is flawed, yes, it is easy to open but no matter what I cannot get it closed properly, it broke when I opened it. And the solution is quite literally 2 steps. The 25 dollar price tag makes this product too expensive.
