Q: what type of imputs does it have? can i hook up my bass, michophone and computer then hear all through a headset without additional equipment?

The inputs are all stereo (2 x 1/4" mono patch cables), except channel 1, which is a balanced mic input (XLR). This should work nicely to mix everything together, but I think you will need a preamp for your bass. Since you only have one stereo input (computer), you would probably do better with your money on a compact live mix board from Mackie (402VLZ4) or even Behringer (XENYX 802 Mixer). It costs less, has an extra preamp and even has some basic EQ and recording functions. This Rolls mixer is nice, and a good a deal, but only if you need to take advantage of those 4 stereo channels.

Q: Hooking up an outdoor theater do i need this 5mixerplus powered speakers and a receiver with hdmi for blu ray movies for this to work?

If you are using powered speakers you do not need a receiver. Just hook rca to 1/4 inch cables from blu-ray to mixer for sound. And hdmi from blu-ray to projector. Your picture is only going to be as good as your projector. I would suggest an HD projector. Optoma 25 lv and the eh500 are great projectors for the price in my opinion.

Q: Can you use this with active, powered studio monitors? What cables would I need?

Yes you can, that's exactly what I use mine for. The output on this unit is 1/4" patch (unbalanced). The exact cable you need depends on the type of monitors. Also note that since this is an unbalanced mixer, if you have balanced speakers, you may need a balanced/unbalanced converter to avoid buzzing and ground loops. If your speakers have unbalanced 1/4" inputs, you would only need a 1/4" patch cable.

Q: Can this mixer power speakers without amplifier?

No. You can drive headphones but not any reasonably sized speakers. The output from the mixer is intended to be coupled to the input of your power amplifier.
