Does the jobs, keeps the Rats out!
We had issues where the Rats were entering our cavity wall through the sewage pipes. Fitted these to all of the pipes and never had issues again! If you have Rats then they are most likely entering through the drains. We called a pest control company who wasn't able to solve the problem so I ended up fitting these myself. Save time and money, easy DIY and fit in 30 seconds if you are able to reach down into the manhole to access the pipes.

Effective way to keep Rats out of your Drains
After a holiday at the Seaside, we discovered rats had chewn through our downstairs toilets Flexi Pipe and the drywall behind. After two weeks of trying to get rid of infestation with traps, a professional Pest Controller pointed out Rat Blockers as a way of preventing them to enter your drains. After fitting the Rat Blocker no more Rats were able to enter our house through the waste pipe and we managed to get rid of the remaining rats in the house with the Traps. The Rat Blocker basically functions like a cat flap. It allows sewage to flow through freely in one direction, but blocks off anything that is trying to get in from the other direction. The installation of the Rat Blocker is pretty straight forward. In our case, I had to open the man hole in our garden and look for our waste pipe. The Rat Blocker then simply slides in pipe and the attached bolt gets tightened down until the Rat Blocker sits tight and can't be moved anymore.Unfortunately, the Rat Blocker doesn't come with a Pole that lets you install it, without having to get close to the waste pipes - unlike other, more expensive solutions. I didn't mind that too much, because the installation process is very fast and easy, but it might be a problem for some people - Obviously, every Drainage Company or Plumber can fit the Rat Blocker too.The Rat Blocker is made from stainless Steel and looks and feels very durable. After several weeks of use, I decided to lift the man hole cover again and check if everything is still in working order and it was absolutely fine. It seems to be a good quality product and I hope it will do what it is supposed to do for a long time.### If my review was helpful to you, please click 'yes', thank you! ###

Good solution but expensive
This is very expensive for what it is but I bought as I had a rat problem. It was fairly easy to install - problems were more down to the shape of my drain than the product. Too early to say how effective it is, but it is fairly simple product so it should do the job OK. A price worth paying, but having said that, I have bought another for my surface water drain and I found one considerably cheaper that should be almost as effective.

Easy to install and very efficient
I had a rat problem, realised when rat chewed my sewage pipe to get access. Was confused what to do and found this product. Nice quality and easier to install. Just opened the box and found my sewage pipe and pushed it inside. Easy DIY and sturdy built.

Seems to have done the job
Have purchased 2 of these, one for our drain and 1 for the neighbour. After 20 years in our property both us and our neighbour were hearing rats under our suspended floor. Had a professional company out who said that after inspection, they suspected the entry was via the drain pipes under the suspended floor. We were offered a costly camera inspection service of our drains which we declined and purhcased these instead. No rats in 4 months and worked straight away.
