Well made, functional replacement for an earlier switch that failed, for less than half the price.

This device works great but it has one major flaw.I was disgusted - absolutely disgusted - to see that it strips HDCP from the PS3 signal which enables capture cards and upscalers like the RetroTink 4k to clearly see the pristine HDMI signal.This is unacceptable and I have contacted the CEO of Amazon and the federal authorities so they can get this contraband off the market for our safety.In the meantime I recommend doing society a service and buying these up so they do NOT end up in the wrong hands.

All these hdmi switches are of similar quality. I have had to buy 3 or 4 of these types of products because there is no real practical alternative.Why 3 or 4? Usually they broke down within a month if not sooner. Sometimes out of the box. Ive had this for about 4 months now and no major issues. The minor issue is sometimes it doesnt sync properly. Powering it off and on usually takes care of it. The problem may get worse as time goes on. But will see.If you are wondering why they fail so frequently and quickly is because of the bad power supplies they are packaged with. Power supplies are critical. Yet they are the likely parts to get skimped bc they tend to be more expensive relative to other components.So I replaced all of my power supplies with high quality power supplies the past year and havent had any issues or breakdown since doing so. You also get other great benefits that come along with it- increase in power efficiency, audio and video quality and best of all not going through the hassle of returning/trashing and rebuying these electronic accessories every month.

Functions better than expected, bought this so that I can connect my PC, Firestick and gaming console to my TV and send the audio to my external speakers without having to buy an A/V receiver. This item automatically switches to the active input source so I don't even have to have another remote to keep track of. Has USB type A for power input so I use USB hub to power it and firestick to one A/C outlet. Had tried known brands that didn't even function properly so I definitely recommend this one

I needed a way to switch between my 2 devices, an Nvidia Shield TV pro, and a Monster Box, in order to get surround sound from both through my Samsung blu-ray player via optical cable. Was already using a single unit and it's been working great for going on a year now, but needed a minimum 2 input switcher. I got this hooked up, and before one episode of the office was over, it started crackling on the screen and the picture died. Audio was still going, but it won't output an image. It no longer works. Had to return. I'll be looking at a different brand to replace it.

DirecTV worked with no issues right away. Amazon fire and XBOX-360 did not work, but I quickly confirmed that all ports of the switcher worked fine, so the issue had to do with these devices. I replaced the amazon fire for a 4k capable and worked right away. It took me a bit of searching to find the solution for the XBOX, so it worked right away after the adjustments.

It took a hard time for me to decide what to buy, so I took my chances with this one. It works great while it lasts. The picture quality was great, just the same as without it. It lasted a little more than 1 year. Now I believe I don't need one. Since I don't switch too often the source of my screen, I simply swap the cable when I need it, I'm fine with that. The remote control was great, also the sound coming from the SPDIF in either Coaxial or Optical. If you have better luck maybe it will last more with you.

Works great overall for what I needed currently, and as specified in the ad. Overall quality is decent for the price. Picture seems unfazed by going through @ 4k 60hz.Remote is basic, but everything can be activated from it, I usually just hit the button on the unit to switch between sources, and don’t do so very often.Optical output works great to connect older receivers.Would be great to update to HDMI 2.1, won’t detect the 2.1 cable at all, had to downgrade cables to 2.0, but it’s specified as 2.0, so no complaints.
