NIFTY Yaesu FT-817ND & FT-818ND Mini-Manual Accessories

I like having these for my mobiles, portables and QRP field radios. As amateur radios get more complex it's nice to have a manual with you sometimes, and it's just not practical to have the whole manifactures manual with you. These are simple, to the point, and handy. These manuals are stripped of the filler info and stuff that is just common sence, so they are much smaller and to the point than the full manual. It's nice that they are spiral bond and laminated, so a little rain or coffee won't hurt them. They seem silly, but the radios these days have so many sub menus and features that are hidden away. So if you're in the field at 2am making DX contacts on the 817 its great to have a reminder of how to set IPO, write to memory, adjust whatever.These little (somewhat over priced) aren't a must have, but if you have a little extra space in your gear it's nice to have. Heck, you may even learn something about your radio you didn't know. I'd give them a full 5 star if they were a few bucks less.

These references are a must have for todays complex radios. This was my fourth one and I’ll always have one for my radios.

It's a nice little menu guide to have on hand, but for the price I was expecting something more substantial, detailed, and updated.

Good reference when you mind has a brain fart.
