Wusthof 4050-7 Gourmet 4-1/2-Inch Steak Knife

Ultra sharp, extremely durable perfect for the steak in those used! I like my red meat with a slightly bluish tint this cut through it like a charm

We have a full set of these knives, but somehow lost one of the steak knives. Finally filled that space in the knife block! Love wusthof.

I bought this single knife as a replacement for my knife block after one of my steak knives snapped (long story). The Wusthof brand is top of the line and this gourmet collection is their best product. The steel runs through the entire wood handle providing a nice, stiff blade that doesn't loosen or wiggle after years of use. I've never had to sharpen my knives. I've never had non-serrated knives that have stayed as sharp as these.Keep in mind, though, like all nice knives, it's best not to dishwash them because water can collect around the handle and start rusting. If you're careful drying them after dishwashing, you're probably okay, but put them on the top rack so they don't get as innundated with water.

Years ago I bought a full set of Wusthof Gourmet knives in a block. Somehow one of the six steak knives disappeared. I ordered this replacement knife, which is an exact match for the others. These very sharp knives hold an edge and are easy to sharpen. I like the way they sit in my hand and their balance.

This is by far the best steak knife I have owned so far. Of course it won't compare to the classic series, but for the price it's a great deal. It cuts any kind of meat. I have a Wusthof Ikon Classic 8in chef knife. If something is hard, I use that one, or a butcher knife. So I do not see much need of having a top quality steak knife. If a steak is so hard that this cannot cut it, you probably should not eat it anyway lol.This knife feels sturdy and reliable. Great deal.

I think it's a bit pricey. But they are good knives. Shop around. I was in a hurry. I deserved everything I got. However, I have had a set of six of these for years and they never wear out.

Wusthof makes the best knives! This one replaced a missing knife in my set. I will never buy another brand. They are great

It's my feeling that my 30 year old set of Wusthof knives is of higher quality steel as I cannot obtain a similar sharp edge on the steak knife.
