Q: Can the internals be tightened so as to remain in position

you use your hand, like in the old days on trucks to push the mirrors in and out. These stay pretty steady and do not move out of position. I really like these mirrors.

Q: Can the swivel lock be adjusted

I also have this issue. There does not seem to be a way to adjust the detent position to the outside. The limited mirror adjustment does not go far enough.

Q: Is there anything that I can do to prevent them from being stolen?

No, but nobody has ever stolen mine. They’ll steal valuables left inside Jeep? But why the doors?
