Orthodox Christian Prayer Book: Full Size Edition

Absolutely the most beautiful prayer book I've ever seen and had the joy to hold in my bare hands. I'm very pleased, and am so excited to use it daily. Thank you Lord.

This NewRome prayer book is really solid, beautiful and well made. The pages are thick, and I think it has sewn binding.Saints have said, regarding prayer, that the important thing is spending time in prayer This prayer book does not have a full set of morning prayers or evening prayers. I first I thought that was unsual, being a prayer book. However, the six psalms as said in the Orthros service are included in the morning prayers. Saints have encouraged to read the Psalms as prayers. These six psalms are very meaningful as would prayers by saints Chrysler on or Basil.The Small Compline service is very good to be read as evening prayers. There are many other prayers included in this book.The language in the text is modern English and very accurate, no grammatical errors or typos. The psalms is this book are really good. I wish the publisher would consider producing a psalter.This prayer book is made for regular use and enjoyment while reading it.Orthodox archpriest.

The book is absolutely beautiful inside & out! It is well organized with lovely font & gorgeous pictures.

I mainly pray the morning prayers and the 9Am hours but the rest are there when I have time. I enjoy walking up and touching base with God first thing. It sets the tone for the rest of my day. I look forward to praying the full Hours with this book after I retire.The book is full sized and the print is nice and big, the book is a joy to use.

I had been considering obtaining a copy of the Orthodox Christian Prayer Book for some time. When I saw that the new Full Size Edition had just been released, I decided to purchase a copy.As with all Newrome publications, this book is sturdy and handsomely constructed. There are three good quality ribbon markers. Several reproductions of Icons adorn pages facing a chapter of prayers.I would have liked to see a few pages of catechetical material included contains the Ten Commandments, Beatitudes, and so forth. However, this is not a complaint. The volume is beautiful as is and very useful. I especially appreciated the Safeguard of the Soul, a short meditation for each day of the month by Saint Nikodemos of the Holy Mountain.This edition is excellent for the icon corner or nightstand. The pocket edition is excellent for travel.

Purchased for my mother as a Christmas present. The large print makes it easier for her to read. Well put together book, very high quality, as expected of a Newrome Press book. Highly recommend.
