Theo Chocolate Salted Almond Organic Milk Chocolate Bar, 45% Cacao, 12 Pack | Fair Trade

One of the best soy free chocolates on the market. I did have a problem with one case containing something spicy when it should not, but they cleared up the situation. I've been eating this chocolate for years.

Theo is the only brand of chocolate bar I have found without soy lecithin. I learned that soy lecithin is a black, stinky, tar like goo that is a byproduct of plastic production. When soy beans started being used to produce plastic, factories paid scientists to figure out how to get rid of the tons of soy lecithin their neighbors were complaining about. Lo and behold, it is now added to ice cream, chocolate, etc., with the claim that it keeps chocolate from sweating, ice cream from separating, etc. However, chocolate and ice cream without soy lecithin seem to hold up just fine.

I had gotten so I could take chocolate or leave it, it just did not taste as good in candy form as it did as as say coco, so since I had become allergic to soy ( lecithin ) I thought perhaps this additive along with everything else was also lthe flavor thief soI tried theo which contains no soy lecithin.......WOW! this is the taste I remember, no waxy stuff, no strange aftertaste, no blunting of the chocolate taste or scent, just pure melt in your mouth pleasure.If you are older and not enjoying chocolate any more take heart maybe it's not you! maybe its the junk in the chocolate bar that doesn't belong there....try this stuff you will never want even the expensive version of the other stuff again!

Very disappointed. I buy Theo chocolates all the time and this entire batch of milk chocolate almond is stale and nuts are rancid. They are selling older batches on Amazon and offer no returns. Buyer beware.

This almond are rancid, bad

I bought the salted almond 45% and turmeric 70%. It’s so good it’s heartbreaking. This is also coming from someone that isn’t very fond of sweets (I like them in teeny doses, if any), but I’ve been seriously obsessing over these. Like, I’m writing this review because I woke up at 6am despite being NyQuil-ed because I needed this chocolate.The salted almond is delicious, with just the right ratio of chocolate to salt to almonds. The turmeric one is really mellow and pleasant.

This chocolate is delicious, but the almonds within are quite salty. I would prefer less saltiness, as it gets in the way of fully enjoying the chocolate for me. If you especially like salty with sweet, then you might just love this product.

I originally found these at a Whole Foods store while traveling. No such store close to home, so I am grateful for Amazon...I ordered as many of these as I could without appearing to be a hoarder. I let my husband, who had always preferred dark chocolate, share a bar and now he is constantly hinting that he wants his own stash. They do taste wonderful, the blend of sweet and salt is addictive, so beware!
