Use this to cool a very large loft bedroom vented out of the window and it works brilliantly vented through a window cover to stop outside air getting in and is fairly quiet compared to my previous unit

Why did you choose this product over others?:Because I mistakenly thought that it was good value for money. It is not. This is truly a dreadful product. After nine days of use in 3 years it now just blows hot air., making it the most expensive FAN in the UK. The seller refuses to engage despite the fact that I have under the Sale of Good Act I have up to six years to register a complaint .That Act demands that an it should work for a reasonable time. Truly shocking behaviour.

Very disappointed. I really don't think it does any more than a fan, but at least a fan can be directed onto you to cool you. Please don't waste your money.

People complaining it doesn’t work? Well if it’s faulty it’s covered under its 2 year warranty. If it’s fully functional then it works.I bought my first Air Con yesterday - this one. I didn’t want to buy a cheaper one because I didn’t want to be disappointed if it was under powered. So I went out and bought this 12000BTU Air Con Unit. It worked great out of the box. It pushes out nice fridge like cold air. It cooled our large living room. It cooled our double bedroom. It needs venting through a window as it expels hot air. So placement can be limiting but that’s true for all air con units as well. Even though it blows cold air it takes time to cool rooms and they must be sealed like closing doors and windows and where possible cover the opened window where the vent pokes through. It is louder than a fan when running but not too bad. No air con is quiet due to the compressor and small fan but it’s the price you pay for cold cold air on a hot day. I can sleep with is on. We’ve been using fans for years but when it’s really hot they don’t help much. This is a nice alternative to fans. With high energy prices I am concerned about running cost so will try and be careful with it. Lastly it is large and heavy. The carrying handle grooves are not centre but you can easily carry it upstairs as the unit rests on you and the handles are rarest from you.Conclusion. It’s a bit loud, bulky and heavy but it can reduce the heat in any room if you seal it properly and allow time for cooling. It looks nice and feels well built. It has a number of useful functions and has a nice white LED display on the front. Remote is basic but handy. I like that it blows out the top rather than the side. The front blower flap also oscillates if required. If you’re after an Air Con unit as a long term investment then I do recommend you consider this one.

Bought in march, it works only 24 hours with cool air after first installation, and no more cool air afterward. Just a waste and disappointment.

Would highly recommend as effective. We have found it to be a god send we have the 12000 BTU one. It is quite loud but it’s a low contiusous sound I can sleep with it.

This worked for a day or so then just acted like and expensive fan. The cooling function just stopped working. Had to send back
