Easy, simply and a great snack ready in a few minutes - NO Oil needed.
A friend recommended this popcorn popper. We haven't found the right microwave timing but we love the ease and simplicity of never having to use oil - Just popcorn! In about 3-4 minutes you have a nice bowl of popcorn. Easy clean up and I love how it can be collapsed for storage. It was very reasonable priced and I definitely recommend purchasing this method for popcorn needs.

Super quick and perfectly popped!
Highly recommend - Best popper ever! I cannot believe that it took me this long to buy a microwave popper. I have always used the plug-in electric poppers and they are so loud and bulky - I mean, they worked but they took up space and generally there would be some burnt kernels at the bottom. This model works great in my LG 1200 watt microwave. I use the Popcorn setting, but like other reviewers have noted - you do need to stay by the microwave and listen. I do NOT let the popcorn cycle complete as it probably would burn. I do have to hit the STOP button when the popping noise lessens. I have experienced zero burning and very few unpopped kernels. Love the fact that it is collapsible and takes up virtually no storage space. I have been using 365 Whole Foods Market Organic Yellow Popcorn. I do not use the popper to eat out of - just transfer the popcorn to another bowl and put whatever you need on it. I simply rinse mine with water, let it dry and put it in the drawer. I did find that when I filled the bottom to the second line it almost knocked the lid off as it got so full. For just one person probably a 1/4 cup is sufficient.

Fast, healthy popcorn without all the chemicals in bag popcorn
A colleague at work was using one of these one day and I was hooked. Fresh popcorn, none of the random ingredients that I couldn't identify, nor the likely hazardous materials used to make the "bag" pop your corn effectively. I could purchase a large tub of good popcorn kernels, pour into this popper up to the marked lines, toss in the microwave and a minute plus later have amazing popcorn. No oils, no chemicals, no random ingredients. Then I could add fresh melted butter, add salt, seasoning, whatever I wanted, but to my levels. Finally!!! Popcorn the way I liked it. Easy to clean, easy to store, easy to maintain. They recommend NOT adding oil or flavors before popping and let me say from experience....follow their recommendation. You'll end up ruining this thing or worse, starting a fire, if not careful. Pop your corn and add whatever you want after.

Pretty good, has a small learning curve
I love popcorn and I was gifted some fun popcorn kernels, so I bought this bowl to try them. The first time, I didn’t put butter/salt in until the kernels were popped, and the popcorn with very bland, so definitely add any seasonings when they’re still kernels. So I made another batch and added seasoning and it tasted a lot better. I also didn’t have a sense of how many kernels to pour in, 1/4 cup is perfect for 2 people to share. I followed the instructions and placed the lid on loosely, and it rose with the popcorn and also contained everything. The handles were a little hot, and they also got buttery, but easy to clean. The bottom of the bowl got really hot, so we had to rest it on a pillow on the couch. It was in the microwave for about 2-2.5mins and almost all the kernels were popped, so that was good. It’s easy to clean and I like how it collapses for easy storage (I have a small kitchen). I’m glad I got it, I think with more practice I’ll be able to make perfect popcorn.

Easy to use, great result!
Makes the best popcorn! Surprising to me, but I love it! One-quarter cup popcorn makes a great size bowl for one! (At least for this popcorn lover!)

Healthy and pops all kernels
This popper is now the only thing I use for popcorn. I love the fact that it is so easy to use...just add a small amount of popcorn and stick it in the microwave. Three minutes later pull it out with nearly all the kernels popped (very few un-popped and no partially popped). It is also very easy to clean afterward, with or without using the dishwasher. The popcorn tastes good with no unhealthy fats from oil from pan popped, or chemicals from micro-wave bag popcorn.

Great popcorn popper IF you follow just THREE rules
I've read all the reviews and learned several tips that I'll summarize here.1) Don't put anything except popcorn into this popper. No oil. No soap. No salt. Why? Some complained that oil darkened the bowl. Some complained that, after repeated washing with soap, the silicon took on the taste of the soap.2) Don't fill it beyond the smallest circle. I told this to my wife and she proceeded to fill it beyond the circle anyway because "there wouldn't be enough with so few kernels. I poured the extra back and promised to make more if we came up short. With Reddenbacker popcorn, the bowl -- counterintuitively -- became full to the top! More popcorn would have either resulted in burning (if one waited for the popping to stop) or MANY unpopped kernels. The bowl is deceptive. You're putting in more kernels than it seems.3) Eat from another bowl; just empty the popper into another bowl. If you put nothing into the popper except popcorn kernels (see #1 above), the need for soap is gone. A simple rinsing and you're all set. (I DID use a little soap when I first received the bowl to clean off any manufacturing stuff that might be lingering. That one use did NOT transfer any soap taste whatsoever, but I'm not going to argue with those who did find that repeated use of soap pretty much ruined the bowl.)========================================================What makes the bowl great? It works well with my GE microwave's popcorn setting -- so great that I don't have to watch the bowl at all. The kernels are big and fluffy but perhaps a bit dry. After I transfer the popcorn to a regular bowl, I can then add melted butter or use a spray-on olive oil. After it cools a bit, the bowl is rinsed out and either air-dried or towel-dried. Then, I put the lid inside the bowl (which is where it goes even when you are popping corn) and collapse the bowl for a 2-inch high bowl that fits virtually anywhere. The lid is smaller than the bowl and goes inside it! WHAT!!!!! Yup. When popping, simply put the lid inside the bowl keeping it flat rather than askew. As the popcorn pops, it will eventually push the lid to the top of the bowl. Kind of neat.I have the white version of this bowl and have popped around 20 bowls since I purchased the bowl. At this point, the bowl continues to look brand new and performs flawlessly. I expect to get a lot more use out of it.We enjoy the flat storage, the uniform and fluffy results, and the novelty of popping in a collapsible bowl. It does all you want a popcorn popper to do except to double as the serving bowl. You CAN use the bowl to eat the popcorn, but (per some of the reviews) that may shorten the useful life of the bowl since you'll likely be using butter or oil plus salt in it and will be forced to use soap to clean it as a result. I don't mind cleaning one extra bowl even though I am probably lazier than you.Follow the rules and the bowl is really no problem -- but, I've found, writing about it is! It's a little different and differences seem to throw some people. So it goes.====================== Added 3/13/2019 ===========================================My GE microwave works perfectly on the popcorn setting -- perhaps, in part, because it DOES have a rotating turntable. In reading the reviews of those who hated the unit because of burning, I can think of a few reasons for the burning:a) One reviewer stated that the unit would burn the popcorn before all the kernels were popped. Sure it would. If you're letting the unit run until ALL the kernels are popped, you're waiting too long. Let the timer and your nose be primary. And don't overload the unit. Fill in the bottom circle only. Then, most of the popcorn will be popped and there is far less chance of burning.b) If you microwave lacks a turntable (i.e., one that turns), there is increased chance of burning.c) Use a good popcorn. Walmart sells Reddenbacker (sp?) for less than your supermarket sells Brand X. The cheap Party Time type popcorn is less likely to pop well and will tempt you to let the microwave run too long.
