Works just as described.
I was very skeptical when purchasing this. I needed to make a large circle cut and had zero experience with a router or a tool such as this. Needless to say it worked perfectly on my first try and I have made multiple circle cuts since. Products is super light and works just as described. Love it!!!

Does not fit all routers.
I had to make an adapter to use the guide. After I did that It worked perfect. It was easy to use and I was able to make a good sized circle.

Very disappointed
This jig arrived in a single flat box with the parts floating around inside. When I opened it, I nearly lost pieces as they came flying out since they were not secured in any way. After trying nearly every set on my Craftsmen router (the same model listed it’s compatible with) I finally figured out which group matched the size and length. Immediately it was clear the jig’s predrilled holes were not going to keep the router from wiggling despite the screws being tightened.I was able to get a few cuts made with our many issues and working around the above mentioned issues. However, the worst of my problems were found when I was in the middle of a cut and the jig itself simply failed. The grove the hardware sits in failed and it just tore out of the wood. I was a little concerned about how thin the jig was (mostly the recessed groove portion) when I first received it but this confirmed that concern. Considering the cost of this jig is $45 I would expect a much higher quality product. I’d strongly recommend watching YouTube videos on making your own as opposed to this solution.

Good enough for certain projects
I bought this jig with saving time in mind. I did not want to make my own. So I gave this one a try. Overall the material is good enough to do some projects but not all. This is what I mean; for doing rings, it is best to screw the jig on the table, so that the jig itself is fixed and so that the material to be cut can then turned instead. Here's where the limitation on this jig comes into place. See the pictures. First I attached a Chicago Electric 2.5 HP router to it. It was too heavy for the jig; especially in the position I placed the router. The jig started to wiggle up and down due to the weight of the router. So I had to replace my router with a smaller one, a palm router (see picture). It worked fine, but if I want to cut denser materials such as MDF or hardwoods, or thicker cuts, I would have an issue with the power I can use. Another issue I had, is that I do not recommend buying this jig used. I bought mine used, and Amazon said it was like new. The problem I had was that it came incomplete; it was missing a pin and the pin would screw onto another piece. I manage to somehow fabricate the pin myself; however, the thread seemed to have an odd pitch. The pin size was not 10-24, nor 10-32. It was size 10 for sure, but the pitch on the thread 24 and 32 would not work. I am keeping the jig just because I can still use it for some projects, but I already made one myself using 1/2" plywood that would really withstand the weight of my other heavier routers.

Great jig.
I was going to make this jig on my own as it’s easy to do, however I needed something fast and found this very helpful.

Nothing flashy but works
For the price, I’d expect better materials and a better fit and finish. This is more expensive than Rocklers equivalent surprisingly. I wish it had a way to tighten the grip it had on the guide rail and if you aren’t careful, there is some play. I used it in a way that it straddles and hugs up against the lip on the rail. The dust collection is a nice touch for sure. After playing with it and seeing how it moves on the rail, I felt confident before putting it to my expensive top. All in all, it works but there’s nothing flashy about it. Check and double check if things are tight and have no play or o can see you having a bad experience with it. I really just needed something to ride on the rail but was sold of the perfect dado capability and that I might need that in the future. It did what I needed it to d, and does what it says it does. Overall I like it

works like a $150 jig should.
After assembly and test cuts it worked as expected. i plan to make a mdf piece to allow it to be a 90 degree miter fence as well.
