The definitive book for aviation buffs...
With the newly released Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg movie Bridge of Spies, I expect there will be renewed interest in the U-2 spy plane. For anyone interested in the history of the plane, this is the book for you. Author Chris Pocock has written a comprehensive and well researched look at the origins of the plane from the early years of Gary Powers to its current use. Pocock gives incredible insight into the technology of the plane and the advances that have taken place over the years. The book is also filled with a huge amount of photographs.Definitely a must have for any aviation buff..

Great book!
As a modeler and aviation enthusiast, I bought this book to use as reference on a project. While the photos are amazing, what I really found interesting and useful was the text. I've been glued to the book since I received it. It was a much larger and nicer book than I expected and so much more than just a collection of photos.

Everything you wanted to know about the U-2.. ...
Everything you wanted to know about the U-2 . . . perhaps even more than you wanted to know! This totally comprehensive book is a treasure trove of information. Please note, this is NOT a book you travel with. It is HUGE!

Kudos from a Former U-2 Pilot
This is the most comprehensive, well-documented publication that I have seen to date on the many facets of the U-2 program. It was recommended to me by one of the original U-2 cadre. As a 1960's Air Force U-2 strategic reconnaissance pilot myself, I can vouch for the quality of reporting and excellence of supporting graphics. Well worth the cost!

Regards the U-2
This book has been massively researched, and nothing seems to have been missed. I suggest you read it on a table, as it is a lap full for a grown person. It is remarkably thorough, and I now know as much about the bird as Mr. Johnson did.
