Q: Is the hdmi output clean? i would like to use this to stream video using obs

Yes, no on screen characters from the HDMI output, unless you press the toggle button on the back which brings up the menu onto the display. It's a multi function button pressing in to turn on the menu to the HDMI output then up, down, and side to side to navigate the menu settings. After a short amount of time the display characters for the menu go off for a clean hdmi video that does not have the menu overlay on it

Q: So i want to set this up in a ceiling and never have to touch it again. will this stay on 24/7/365 outputting to hdmi if i turn my tv to it's source?

I connected this cam today, connected to a Samsung TV. It worked a couple times, then not. The input on the tv shows red dot next to power button on source screen, like the cameras not on when it is.

Q: Will this mount to a nikon microscope with a c mount for a camera?

yes, should work with any C mount.
