Q: can I use this on a bifold door?

Yes! Door Buddy works with standard and non-standard doors and doors with all handle types. It works great on pocket doors, double doors, and even bi-fold doors. Q: Is this secure enough to use to keep a 35lb dog inside of a room while I am out of the house?

I have this on my laundry room door and my 120 pound Boxer/Dane mix tried once and when he met the tension he stopped trying instantly. The adhesive is very strong in my opinion!

Q: can this work to keep my morki from slamming shut the doors?

Hi, it should help the slamming a little because the door will only be a few inches open. But, it will not prevent the door from closing. To help with this, I would suggest maybe getting our combo pack that includes a door stopper that will prevent the door from slamming shut. :) these two work really well together.
