Summer of 85

This film is a powerful and emotional charged story about friendship and lovers. The story centers around Alex who gets rescued by David from an afternoon boating mishap. The story focuses on their relationship and the aspects of their romance that soon play out over the summer. While the story is bittersweet I also believe the ending has a raw message of hope and new beginnings.

This love story will touch anyone who doesn't have a heart of stone. Voisin and Lefebvre are brilliant in the leading roles. The supporting cast is excellent as well.

This gay teen drama in France was bittersweet and all too real in its tough portrayal of gay youth. I was left with sadness after watching it. There is one funny scene where we see the naked asscheeks of the boy hero while his buddy’s mom tries to give him a bath. I did not see that one coming. No frontal nudity. The sex scenes between the two boys was overly tame—actually you don’t see them having sex. All you see is the boys asleep in the same bed without intercourse occurring.

A nearly perfect movie if you buy into the novel's quirky conceit that one of the boys will dance on the other's grave.Ozon even balances some humor with the bittersweet-ness.I get the impression that the director wanted to make a film as sexually appealing as "Call Me By Your Name," and he succeeded.Ozon is a fine director, and it is pleasing to see a gay-themed movie with a decent budget: the production values are excellent.

Excellent, and very true to life, a very moving and touching MOVIE, about young love!

Young man likes to seduce different folks both male and female then eventually gets bored and wants to move on. Problem happens when one young guy can’t handle the situation especially after the young man dies in motorcycle accident.
