Q: Will this cut EVA foam ?

Just tested it. I almost thought it was going to work, since I replaced the old wires with 28 gauge Kanthal. The wire doesn't break as it normally would with the old wires. However, I don't think it gets hot enough to melt the EVA fast enough, to really call it a cut. Takes too long to get through. Unfortunately this is not the solution to cutting EVA foam, faster and easier.

Q: Received this in good time. However instructions say not to cut styrofoam. Could this be true? I bought it to cut styrofoam shipping boxes.

Not sure why the instructions would say not to cut styrofoam. I actually didn't read the instructions. I've been cutting blue insulation foam with it for sculpture projects and as long as you have a strong wire attached, it works very well!
