Love this bottle as it’s made out of entirely steel, including the cap. I dislike plastic parts that get moldy if you don’t wash them constantly.The bottle is lightweight but well made. If you get the reflect finish, it is a little prone to fingerprints. I wish there was a bigger size in the classic style because I drink lots of water.

I was looking for a nice bottle with no plastic parts, and this is perfect.

Stainless needs a really good cleaning before use. Some reviewers noticed a metallic smell when filled with water. So did I, but if you boil water in a stainless steel pan with a tablespoon of powdered dishwasher soap added, and pour this into the bottle, (wear protection against a very hot bottle!) seal it up and shake for a little while, after a good rinsing the smell is gone. The pan you used will also be clean! I was a little concerned that recycled stainless steel could pick up some lead, but I tested it and if there is lead in the Stainless Steel, my test could not detect it. Not a fan of Stainless on Stainless cap threads. I would consider plating the cap threads with Nickel or Copper to avoid the screeching noise of similar metals moving over each other and tearing microscopic particles of metal from each other...

The only "plastic" in this item would probably be the silicon seal ring (but they use silicon for medical equipment that come in contact with human bodies frequently so I am not concerned).Many of the effect of prolonged exposure to plastics are still unknown, but why poke an unfamiliar bush when you can circumvent and walk with certainty across an open path?Also, vote with your money and choose sustainable, healthier products.

The lack of plastic was a huge deciding factor for purchasing this. The screw cap is a little loud but that's understandable due to it being metal on metal. My only complaint is that I could do without the bamboo accent on the lid; I've tried using mineral oil on it, but it always looks and feels dried out.

I wanted to like it, I really do, but I can't stand this bottle.It is NOISY. You can't open it silently. It take forever to unscrew and make a lot of noise while you do, and you have to do it whIth two hands so you can't drink while holding a child, driving or working, and you can't drink while walking either because the opening is HUGE and it spills everywhere.Also it shows all fingerprints and it looks filthy all the time.It's not insulated so it gets sweaty.That said,It is leakproof, easy to wash in the dishwasher (no parts at all to collect mold, which is perfect in this matter) and lightweight.Way too expensive to me for my experience.
