RAZOR SHARP - BEST EVER USED
Last year my el cheapo old faithful peeler was lost, no doubt outed with a pile of peelings. Tried several available at local stores, hardware, Walmart, kitchen etc. None matched "old faithful"Tried AMAZON they have everything, ordered this one, UPS delivered it as I was peeling potatoes; and was immediately put to use. WOW !!!!NEVER had a peeler this sharp, almost no pressure to whip off long thin peels that dropped right off. No hanging peels. Using only three fingers it still made light work of coarse skins. Finished the pile off in no time. Just AMAZING.Later while reflecting on reviewers comments on sharpness I wet the back of my hand and SHAVED the hair off as easily as it peeled potatoes.Warning ! Treat this peeler as a knife - it has the potential to inflict harm if not carefully handled, really needs a sheath. The attached card mentioned Sweden. If it was made there good for them; if not whoever made it did a great job and I'll buy more for friends. Those who peel towards themselves might reconsider, treat it as a knife, whittle away from yourself.LATER: Just found tag: "This Swedish made vegetable and fruit peeler is constructed entirely of 18/10 stainless steel and has a precision honed blade for lasting sharpness 6-3/4" overall length. Dishwasher safe."UPDATE 4-17-14: Just ordered 3 more, spare plus gifts. Peeler works sooo well makes KP almost enjoyable.

Peeler maneuvers well
We have tried different peelers but this type is our favorite 'go to' peeler. This one is sturdy and the blade is sharp. It is not flimsy and handles well when peeling all sizes of potatoes or squash. The real test will be sharpness longevity. For now, though ... it serves its purpose well, as we hoped it would.

Simple and good
I peel a lot of fruits and vegetables for the nutrition plan I follow, and this peeler works better than any other style I've tried - a lot better! I always bought this type of peeler at my local grocery stores in the past, but for some reason the local grocery stores stopped selling it and the other styles they started selling don't work nearly as well. So, I bought this one on Amazon. The metal on this style will eventually start to rust after two or three years, mostly around the pivot-points in the handle, but in my view it's primarily a cosmetic issue because the handle doesn't touch what you're peeling. This rust issue might be the reason the peelers now being sold at my local grocery stores all seem to have plastic handles. OK, plastic handles are not a bad idea, but as I mentioned, they just don't work as well for some reason. One slight difference between this peeler on Amazon and the same style peelers I previously bought at my local grocery stores (before they stopped selling it) is the swivel. The swivel on the Amazon peeler is slightly more limited, so it's not as good as some I've had in the past. But, it's maybe 90% as good, and I think the little metal swivel limiting tabs can probably be bent with a pliers to increase the swivel. I just haven't got around to it yet because 90% is still very good.

Vegetable Peeler Belwether
At the warehouse the damaged peeler had been put in the plastic slip bag then in the box even though it has a glaringly obvious defect. The handle had been warped and forcefully bent. The thin sheet steel formed handle is not up to snuff for efficient gripping during speed work. The blade has numerous dull spots that are obvious. 18/10 stainless steel does not hold an edge as long as many would have you believe. This design is an attempt to replicate the decades old first generation design that has been the durable trusty kitchen workhorse throughout America. My 30 year old Tablecraft EKCO 45 still works well because I have regularly sharpened it and kept it dry. [This in not the How To venue so I wont discourse here. Where is a proper venue? I just need another for large production work.Searching for this led me into a world of revelations about the state of the market and the vegetable peeler market in particular. After reading dozens of reviews of various vegetable peelers I am shocked at the stupidity of product designers in companies that lead the market. Understanding whole body system ergonomics should be intuitive and unsullied. Function in nature always defines form. Reverse that principle and everything produced will be a Rube Goldberg. Thanks for the rant moment, Amazon.

sharp, small and works great
It isn't fancy, but it does the job of peeling just great. It has handled anything that I needed it to handle. I would recommend it.

Razor sharp, good quality
After our 20 year old plastic handled peeler crumbled from years of dishwasher use I was on a mission to find something that'll last forever no matter how many dishwasher cycles it gets. This is it, no stupid plastic handle, just a nice simple stainless steel peeler. After reading other reviews I had to see if it's really sharp enough to shave some of the fur off my arm. I can confirm indeed it is razor sharp by the bald spot on my arm.

Good Vegetable Peeler
This is a good product. It works well on cucumbers and carrots and the like. Purchased others before it and was not happy. This one works very well.
