Had to be held in one angle only. Writing is not smooth and scratching on paper.

I just love them as a go-to medium tip sketch pen. Note that they do scatter little ink dots when you write or draw on densely textured paper, such as watercolor papers, so if you don't like that I recommend use on drawing and standard notebook/printer paper. I love the effect of the tiny ink splatters around my sketch lines though. I also use them for regular writing and have loved these tips forever.They do take the Pentel MLJ20 refills, which I purchase in a box of 12 on Amazon, also pictured.

I bought this simply because this pen has a unique nib. It's like a plasticky felt tip nib. However it writes surprisingly well, the ink(from the included cartridge) is very dark and well behaved and you can get a fair amount of line variation by altering the angle of nib(broad to fine).Quirky little pen for your collection. Great for sketches.Check writing sample compared to other pens, and a close-up of the nib in the images.

I love these things, they write so smoothly and crisply, and since the nib is a part of the cartridge, you get a new one every time you refill! Now if only people would stop stealing them from my desk!Highly recommended.

Excelente pluma, escritura suave, muy recomendable

Ce stylo est parfait pour la prise de notes grâce à son délié et à la précision de son tracé.Je l'utilise au quotidien pour la double vérification des données à partir d'un tableau EXCEL imprimé.Son trait fin et net me permet d'annoter avec beaucoup de facilité des informations synthétiques qui ont besoin de ressortir de l'ensemble de la page, surtout quand l'espace concerné n'est pas plus large qu'un rectangle de 2,5 X 1 cm.Je recommande vivement cet outil précis. Il est par ailleurs très esthétique dans son habillage noir racé.
