Hello, no there is no cord attached to the crocodile.

Q: how far away can you be to use the remote control buttons and can it go thru a sliding glass door without interference

20 30 feet and it will work through glass as long its glass and not a wall , great toy

It does not walk on carpet but it does walk very slow. If you let it walk on carpet it might get stuck.

Q: The box indicates that there’s an on/off switch on the remote control. Mine doesn’t have one, has anyone had this problem?

We didn’t have one on our remote.
