Great controller
I love this controller I had the first red duke hyperkin to play with my pc and xbox game pass, I bought this one and 2 of the halo 20th Anniversary Duke (one for me to collect and one for my wife) they all had the problems with the left Trigger and left joystick but you can email hyperkin support they will send you update firmware and steps to fix it I haven't had a [email protected]

This product blew me away!
This controller is just gorgeous! Perfect for people with big hands or long fingers. I’m probably going to buy another one in a different color. 😅 I do agree that the cord could be longer BUT it’s a solid cord! Wrapped in nylon by the looks of it. Just a 10/10 in my book. Thanks Hyperkin you’re my new favorite controller company.

Avoid This Controller and Hyperkin
I bought this controller because I love the design of the original Xbox controller. This 20th Anniversary controller, however, is not well made and does not live up to the legacy. The left trigger is defective, ruining gameplay. When I looked online for a fix, I found that many other people were reporting a defective left trigger, as well as other defective pieces such as stuck joysticks. I can't recommend this controller because it's not reliable; I'll be in a clutch moment on Halo and accidentally throw a grenade because the trigger is acting up.Update: After talking with Hyperkin support, I will not continue business with them. They're customer support person raised his voice, had a bad attitude, had no greeting and no goodbye. That's no way to communicate. If that is who represents this company, they are no company that will get a cent from me. Avoid this overpriced, broken controller. On YouTube you can find several people saying the left controller is defective, along with other issues like joystick drift.

A painfully faithful modernization
This modern Duke suffers from the same ergonomic stupidity as the original it's based on, with the notable improvement of bumpers to replicate the functions of the "white" and "black" buttons, plus the functions implemented since the first XBox model. Even as someone who must wear XL gloves, this controller makes most games frustrating to play with how difficult it is so reach the letter-designated buttons from a comfortable resting position. It's perfect for that old Halo feel if you're playing the Master Chief Collection.

A nice throwback controller with a couple shortcomings
Despite the bulky size of this controller it is quite lightweight which makes it feel somewhat insubstantial and ‘cheap’ and as a person who actually has one of the real Duke controllers for the OG Xbox I got back at launch for that console this definitely does not feel on par with that device in the hand, it had a real heft and a smoothness of operation that made the OG Xbox controller feel really premium and advanced for its time. This feels very light and hollow like a toy instead of a piece of high end gaming equipment.I really want to talk about the cord because I was very disappointed to find it’s only maybe 4 or 5 feet long which just isn’t long enough for my setup and probably not for many others either. 10 feet would have been better but a 15 foot cable would have been perfect. But trying to sit within 4 feet of a 60 inch display is not an optimal experience. I will say this much about the cable it’s very nice it has the classic Xbox green colored wrapping and feels very sturdy and would probably last a long time.I love the bright little screen and the Xbox boot animation. I also like how the screen also functions as the actual Xbox button it would be cool if there was a way to change the brightness level of the screen. Because in the dark it is quite distracting but not a deal breaker for me.I played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the XSX with this controller to test it out. I was sitting incredibly close to the screen thanks to the short length of the included cable so I couldn’t play for long due to eye strain but I did get to give the controller a good test of how it plays.Vibration is good and strong and the analog sticks are tight and responsive. I find the layout of the face buttons to be a bit problematic. They’re quite a ways in from the edge of the controller which makes it a bit hard to get used to and find buttons without looking. I really like how the black and white buttons are mapped to the left and right bumpers respectively, I would have liked to have seen Hyperkin add a feature to remap those buttons to different inputs, huge missed opportunity there but it’s still great the way it is.I think this controller would be great for racing games as the analog sticks and and triggers are oversized but still quite precise.I absolutely love the inclusion of a beautiful translucent green acrylic display stand that Hyperkin added in with this package. The cord might be too short to use as a full time controller but it definitely makes for a nice display piece.Overall I love the looks and presentation that Hyperkin put into this controller. It really strikes that chord of nostalgia for a bygone era in gaming where companies were still taking chances and experimenting with designs like this. However, I can’t really recommend this as an actual full time controller it just has too many negatives going against it with the greatest flaw being the lack of wireless connectivity and the inclusion of a far too short connection cable.I think if you go in expecting to use this as your primary controller you’ll be disappointed but if you look at it as a fully functional display piece, as I do, you’ll find this to be an interesting little piece of nostalgia.

Glaring flaw
This could've been so good. It's made of the same tough material and build of the original designs, snd very effectively incorporates the new controller functions. But it has a wiring issue so that in the home page, the left trigger scrolls up on the page as if you help the thumbstick to the highest push. And I mean ANY pressure to the trigger, in fact sometimes I have to pull the trigger outwards in order for this not to happen, making it pretty much unusable in menus. It even happens in some game menus as well, making it unusable for some games.I even thought maybe mine was just broken, so I returned it and had them send me a new one. It does the same thing. But, at least it works for splitscrean if you plug it in after* fully loading into a game using a different controller.
