Bought as an Xmas present for my husband. It came beautifully packaged, nice sturdy and beautiful cut glass. Whisky stones are excellent quality and nicely presented as well.

This is a really high quality crystal glass whisky glass/tumbler with a unique and beautiful design cut into it. The glass is quite thick and crystal clear, I cannot find any imperfections on the set I received. The glass feels comfortable to hold and looks stunning from the moment you open the presentation box, and I find myself using this one over any of my other glasses whenever I go for a drink of whisky.The cut marble cooling stones are each cut from a distinctly different marble pattern and each of the stones are finished excellently with no rough spots or sharp edges to worry about. I'm a massive believer in using cooling stones instead of ice for cooling my whisky down as if you like to have any sort of control over the amount of dilution of the spirit you can't really use ice unless you drink it very quickly which is just a waste of good whisky.The cooling rocks can be placed into the provided wooden tray both for storage and also for when you want to cool them, the entire tray with the stones can be placed into the freezer overnight and used as needed the next day. If you happen to be gifting this to someone who may not have used whisky cooling stones before, there is a handy instruction manual included which outlines the method of using the product.My only complaint is that the company has put a fair amount of effort and thought into the set but decided not to include a matching wooden drinking coaster to match the cooling stone tray and the instruction manual, which both have the same wood and etched design on them. It would maybe bring the price a bit higher, but I believe it would really tie the whole set together into an unbeatable set for anyone who enjoys not only whisky but practically any spirit.Recommended if you are a spirit drinking enthusiast or someone you know is.

This is a lovely set for any solo whiskey drinkers, most times they come with two glasses this is the first I have seen with just one.It is priced at £29.90 for a beautifully cut crystal glass, 6 granite round stones and a wooden tray.Personally the quality of the set is amazing, I do query the outer packaging though, it just isn't up to the same quality as the rest of the product and detracts a little as it easily scuffs and smudges on the outside, maybe it was just the one I received. However, I would imagine this could be disposed of once you are using the set so may not matter to everyone, just as a gift would be an issue.The whiskey stones are beautiful and and interesting selection included with a tray to place them in freezer.They are used traditionally to cool down drinks instead of ice so they don't dilute the drinks. However, I don't find they cool a drink as effectively as ice but it does work to some degree and it is all about personal taste.Each stone is a different cut and design and looks more interesting as a result and the round smooth edges won't damage your glass.The only thing that would push this to top marks for me, would be to include a coaster of the same material as the wooden tray as it would be the perfect finishing touch.

If you're not a Whisky lover you might wonder why you would want a set of stones? Well the dilemma for all Whisky lovers is chilling your Whisky to the prefect temperature but either with no water, or as some prefer, with just a few drops of water. If you put ice in your drink you have little control over how much water you get, and of course the Whisky will start off with little water in it but as the ice melts it gets more and more water in it. To taste Whisky at it's best you have to precisely control the amount of water.Each of these Whisky stones is made from a uniquely different shade of granite. You chill the stones in the freezer and you can then use them instead of ice.The glass that comes with this set is also worth a mention. It's a nice, thick crystal glass and beautifully fashioned. The stones also have a lovely presentation board so that you can bring the chilled stones to the table for your guests. Really this is a very nice Whisky stone set which any Whisky lover will treasure.

As soon as you see the box and then open it you can see it's superb. It really impressed me on first viewing.At the time of this review, it is priced at £29.90 and I have to say, if I received this as a gift, I would have thought it would have cost at least £50. So perfect for anyone wanting to save some money this Christmas and buy someone a present that will make the receiver think you have spent a lot more money on them than you actually have.Highly recommended!
