A new king of primes is here!
Yes, there are many options out there to choose from. May be your day goes by searching the length and breadth of the internet to figure out which lens to buy. Should you go with Nikon's 28mm 2.8 ? or should you save and go for Nikon's 24mm 1.8 but that costs too much compared to this right? If you are like me, who, for days was glued to the screen, watching reviews after reviews to figure out which lens to buy or you are someone who is hesitant to go for a third-party lens. Then my review is for you!My review of this lens: I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS LENS.The built quality - AmazingThe Focusing speed - Too goodImage resolving - FantasticContrast - Love love loveSharpness - perfectBokeh - Busy but beautifulWeight - Perfect for gimbalsFlare - slightly annoying but can be fixed by using the lens hoodWho should buy this lens?Anyone who is looking for a sharp wide-angle lens. I have used this for portraits, food photography, landscapes, fashion, and documentary films. Till now I have not faced any issues. In fact i have been loving it more and more with every shoot I do.What I am concerned about: The after-sale service in India. I am not sure how will Viltrox offer repair services in India. Since it is new and there is hardly any info about service centers being present in India, that's the only con I can see, when it comes to purchasing this lens. It is a big concern I agree but, seeing the price, the image quality, and the built quality I don't think there will be any problem for at least a few years. All you can do is take good care of this lens and don't drop it.My Conclusion: Go for this lens if you want a wide angle and you often shoot indoors with low lighting conditions.I have used this lens with Nikon Z6II and Nikon Zfc cameras. It has worked perfectly on both. It works better on the Z6II because of the in-body stabilization and better AF tracking.I hope this review has been Helpful
