This neckband already has all those components inside, and the USB connection would bypass the duplicate parts in a soundcard. This is great if you’re using the soundcard built into a laptop or a smartphone dongle; you know you’ll know you will always get the experience the neckband was designed for. You could connect the neck speaker to a soundcard with the AUX port… but you would lose surround.
