Stronger than it looks
This has been a really helpful tool. At first I was disappointed I couldn’t get lug nuts off my F-150 but it turns out my pressure was far too low at the tool. Once that was fixed, it takes them off very easily and that’s with 3/8”-1/2” adapters. I took off a wheel in about 30 seconds. For comparison, my Milwaukee Fuel 1/2” stubby impact 12 volt can’t take those lug nuts off and that’s without any adapters.Very small and can fit in tight places. Has helped with a brake job, new wheel bearings, and some suspension replacement for an F150. A lot easier to move around than its big brother 2235 and is the first one I grab generally.Very pleased with the boot cover as well. A little thicker than I thought it would be but protects well

I already owned a 1/2" drive IR impact and love it. This new one was a little spendy ...
I needed a powerful yet very compact impact for a difficult job (replacing spark plugs on an F150 Triton engine with very tight quarters on the rear cylinders.) YouTube tips suggested using a 3/8 impact. I already owned a 1/2" drive IR impact and love it. This new one was a little spendy (although a super price here on Amazon), so I was leaning toward going the cheap route and getting something from Sears. I'm sure glad I didn't! This thing is the smallest I've found, very light with the Titanium case, and has great power. All of the other reviewers are correct. This is a fantastic tool, and I never have buyers remorse when it's a quality item like this that I will undoubtedly get many years of use out of. My dad always told me to take care of my tools, and my tools will take care of me. This little impact with big impact performance is sure to do just that. Well worth the money even if you don't know what your next job for it might be. Oh, and the ergonomics and conrols on it are great!

Great Tool, Great Price, Great Quality, Fast Shipping
Very powerful little gun when combined with the right compressor. I run a 80gallon tank at 175psi and 15cfm at 90psi. This thing breaks bolts lightning fast. It's light weight and ergonomic design make it a pleasure to work with all day. Although it may be small, what it lacks in size it makes up for in torque. I also have a HF 1/2 impact and it is on par with that. I recommend this gun especially for those doing suspension and brake work. As it is small enough and powerful enough to get the job done efficiently (Assuming you are skilled at what you are doing). I would also recommend complimenting this tool with IR 86 piece 3/8 1/2 impact set. They go hand in hand and were made for each other. At this price, you cant go wrong. For the amount and quality you get for your buck, you'd be wasting your time and money with another gun.

Glad I bought this instead of the 1/2 drive.
Powerful, and light. Plenty of power for the weekend warrior, which is glad I bought the lighter one over the heavier 1/2" drive model. While you're at it, pick up a precision oiler if you don't already have one, the manual recommends oiling 3 places, at least 1 of which requires a precision oiler, and the other is covered up by the protective boot (although there are no holes there, so I don't know what the manual means).Oil your air tools! You can research on your own, but I found that the most popular seem to be Marvel Mystery Air Tool Oil and Lucas Air Tool Oil, both available on Amazon. I needed some quickly, so I just bought Kobalt at Lowes until my Marvel arrived and it works fine.Edit: This thing seems VERY oil hungry. Most people will recommend a few drops before and after use. I'm a weekend warrior so I do not use this for hours on end and oiled it before and every use. Recently it seized up on me. I took it apart and the hammers seemed very well lubricated. So I dumped a significant amount of oil in the inlet and let it sit. Plugged it back in and it spun up slow, then back up to normal speeds. After that I dumped even more oil in while in forward mode, then more oil for reverse just in case. Runs much better.TL;DR Use much more tool oil than normal.

Every Pro Needs One
5 stars only because 6 was not an option. This little impact is great. It's a huge time saver on everything from oil pans, to transmissions, to brakes, to engine work. In my line of work, time is money. I am a professional mechanic and I use my tools every day all day. Power, ergonomics, and durability are what I look for in my air tools. This thing has it all: I was taking lug nuts off with it day one, so it has more than enough power. It feels like a fraction of the weight of my co-worker's snap-on 3/8" impact and doesn't take as much effort to select forward and reverse or change the power setting so having used both tools all day, I can say there is less fatigue on my hands with the ingersoll, so I would venture to say it has the best in class ergonomics from what I've used. As far as durability, I have had the ir TiMax ½" impact for many years now, and I've abused it in unimaginable ways (including running it over with a 1 ton Chevy), and it just won't break. I expect this tool, being made of the same materials, will endure as much torture as its big brother. Did I mention it barely makes any noise? Quietest air tool I've ever owned.

A Pleasure to Use
I'm a professional diesel technician, and I have used all variety of impacts, and this is my impact of choice for daily use. It is as good as if not better than anything you will get off of a tool truck, and it is probably somewhere between one hundred to three hundred dollars less expensive. I have also taken ingersoll impacts in for warranty claims. When Ingersoll couldn't repair my half inch drive impact, they replaced it with a new one, free of charge. This impact is truly a joy to use. It sounds great, is not too loud, and has plenty of power, and weighs much less than a bulky 1/2 inch impact. I will be using it daily on everything from radiators to drive shafts. Note: the threads are a little bit tight, so use some pipe sealant when putting in the air chuck, and make sure it's snug and tight in there, using two wrenches to tighten. Otherwise, air will blow out the bottom and you might think something is wrong with the impact (happened to me).
