Gosh, the colors on these knives are so pretty! I love the iridescent look. It reminds me of the 1960's hippy-dippy, kaleidoscope look. Be careful with them, though. If you hand wash them like I do, watch out so that you don't get cut. These knives are very, very sharp! On the wonderful side of their sharpness, they are exceptional at slicing and dicing any food item that you can think of.

Absolutely love this set! I opted for the more deluxe set because I really wanted that rainbow Chinese cleaver. The cheese knife is awesome too. The knives are beautifully made, sharp, full teng through the entire handle. Notch at the end of the handle that can be carved away at to maintain knife balance over time. I feel like this is the last knife set I will ever have to buy. Feels like they'll last forever with proper care (also use an end grain cutting board for knives!). The knife block has a built in coarse and fine blade sharpener which is really cool.My only mild complaint is that the kitchen shears are boring black and silver but oh well. And also the measuring spoons and cups aren't made well. The handles are sodered on rather than being one solid sturdy piece. One spoon came broken. But that's ok, I already had good measuring cups and spoons and I just really wanted the knives.Don't waste your money on a cheap knife set. They'll just fall apart eventually. If you can, invest in a good set like this and they'll last forever.Note: hand wash only. And make sure they're completely dry before putting back in the block.

Looks great but the chef knife had a defect right above the handle where the paint did not adhere so it's just stainless.
