It is pretty sturdy, and has survived for several weeks now. Amazing since two of my pups are tough on toys. The sqeakers are all still in tact.

Q: The description states that the deluxe is 2 ft long and costs less than the large which is just 20 inches and costs more. Please clarify?

Large is 20 inches long, deluxe is 30 inches long. They both have 7 sections with individual squeaker, just each section differs in size.

Q: How long is this caterpillar? We have the skeletal remains of one about 4' long that my dogs love. Looking for something equivalent!

21 1/2 - 22inches long. He is really cute and my basset hound loved him. Would definitely recommend him for "Paws" enjoyment!

The problem is that we are talking about two different toys, here -- the "Deluxe" and the "Large." I only know about the Deluxe -- I've bought two of them and I recommend them (see my review). The Deluxe is soft plush "caterpillar fur" over tricot, over tough bottle-like squeakers. So, if by stuffing you mean quilt batting or polyester fiberfill that gets pulled out and distributed throughout your house and home, then NO, it is not stuffed. It's still soft and cuddly and my dog still takes it to bed with him, but it is not stuffed like a teddy bear. And as long as my dog likes it that way, it's OK with me. Maybe the Large is stuffed with poly batting, but I don't know anything about that one. I hope I have answered your question and helped end the confusion.
