Q: New unit is underwhelming. its missing a lot of dirt and leaves. now on 4th cycle. am i doing something wrong? expected better cleaning than this.

To pick up big stuff remove the bag from the chute. That allows it to pick it up without getting clogged. Do put the bag bag for regular cleaning so it will get all the smaller particles. This is the 2nd Dolphin I've had and they both work wonderfully!

Q: Does the cord get tangled on the new triton power stream models?

I have been using the vacuum for about 3.5 weeks since I received mine from Amazon. So far, I have had no issues with the tangling of the cord whatsoever. I must have used this vacuum literally 15x because my pool was filthy when I opened. The Unit has performed very well. I previously owned the Dolphin Dynamic where you had to alternate the handle to avoid the cord tangling. Even with that machine, I never really had issues. This machine is much lighter and easier to clean than my past unit. So far, I am extremely happy with it.

Q: Can this be left in the pool?

I have to lift the Triton and remove the basket from the Triton to wash out the debris. I can move the Triton to the pool step to do this.

Q: My new unit is cutting off w/less than 25 mins of cleaning. I am not using an extension cord, and the top aerator holes are clear. Any suggestions?

Same here. Just opened our new package from Amazon and tested it out last night. It only went for about 20 mins. The blue lights were still on on the control box but the robot had stopped. So I pressed the power button off then back on and it resumed cleaning....but again only for around 20mins then stopped. I left it in overnight and this morning cleaned out the basket (didn’t have much) and tried again for a third time. Same issue: Stopped after somewhere around 20min and all the lights were still on at the control box like before. So now I unplugged the control box, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in and hit the power button for a fourth attempt. If this doesn’t work then I’ll open it up and throughly wash it out, try a fifth time, then just wait until Monday to call for support. We’re very impressed with its cleaning ability, just wished it would run for more than 20mins each time
