Noodler's Ink Refills Polar Black 4.5oz w/ Free Fountain Pen Bottled Ink

Comes with the noodlers Charlie.This is more ink than you will ever need in today's world. Smells slightly of antifreeze if you stick your nose it in. Writes on cellulose. Drying time is actually not very long and the smoothness really shines.As American as it gets. 10/10 would buy again

My ink arrived almost 3 days early and was in perfect condition, and came with a real Noodler's "Charlie " pen. I love the ink and I know I'm going to buy more bc Noodler's is phenomenal stuff and I even inked my jinhao x450 with it. This ink writes like a dream on nearly every paper I've tried although on some it does bleed and feather a touch but that's the paper.Anyone considering this bugger bottle as a first pen and ink setup will really enjoy the ink. My mother in law preferred the jinhao nib but I fee like the Charlie is good for taking notes and fine line sketches. As for the funky smell from the free pen it's just the sealant used to prevent leaks and if it bothered you you can clean it off and put fresh silicone grease on it( I'm weird and the smell takes me back to art class) super pleased with this purchase and look forward to hopefully working with this seller again.

Purchased to try my first "dropper filled" Fountain ✒️ Pen. Open box to find bubble wrap stained black. It did prevent the ink from spilling out as a more than double wrapping of packing tape encased the bubble wrap around the box containing the cracked bottle the ink once raised within.No biggie as I have ink to use and can get the ink replaced. That was before attempting to cut through the tape and bubble wrap without making a mess. I even had gloves as the retirement home still had a few restrictions with the pandemic. A few sets of gloves later, checking through the remnants of the box, bottle and packaging and within...No pen.As only the encircled bubble of ink which one was Noodles' Ink Polar Black was in this delivery, if there was a pen, it should have been within the taped up bubble wrap. Even ensued all pieces of the bottle, and its box, was there.The ink resisted all attempts to remove with water, even with soapy water.The ink sheered onto surface with the tenacity of a honey badger and was absorbed quickly. I am confident the ink will outlast the landfill where it now resides.At least with these southern summer temperatures the ink didn't show any signs of freezing. This black ink is great. It puts down a very consistent line from my Pilot Metropolitan with a fine nib. Unfortunately, the included pen was not the one pictured. The pen in the picture, that I thought I was getting, is the Noodler’s Charlie. What I received was an eye dropper converted Platinum Preppy. As it’s a “free” pen (although nothing is truly free), I’m not too bent out of shape about it, but the seller should change the photo to reflect the actual product they are shipping out.

The ink itself is fine. Its not the best its not the worst. It's completely adequate and has a nice sheen. The pen they sent me though was trash. Which I dont mind you know its like an add on but oh my lord did that pen stink to high heaven. As soon as it was out of the plastic it smelled like a dead foot in my living room. Why would you ship something like that out with an otherwise decent product.... so middle of the road is as fair as I can be.
