I did a huge 6 piece shrunk from Germany, a sofa table, living room table, coffee table, entertain center all with one jar.

Q: How many times does this have to be wiped and polished until it's not oily on the furniture anymore?

Thanks for your question. Our beeswax is easy to wipe. Use a sponge or rag to apply a small amount of beeswax to the furniture evenly. When it dries(30 minutes), wipe and polish with a clean towel repeatedly. Deep nourishment needs to be left for about 15 hours, which is conducive to the penetration of beeswax into the wood.

Q: I know this is for wood, but I have looked around for a gun wax this has similar base ingredients. I want to know if I can use this polish on steel?

I purchased this wax for new wood finish, renovation of existing finished wood pieces and to use on my new ground cast iron table saw top. I mixed some wax with about 10% editable mineral oil for treatment of cutting boards so what I used on the table saw wasn't straight wax. It gave the steel a smoother but not slicker feel. Being in a wood shop the saw top caught the stray wood dust floating around. That wiped of easily. It wasn't like stuck down requiring effort to remove. I feel like it will be better protected.
