The problem with these are that they are bluetooth and bluetooth just isn't perfect. Having said that, for the price, these are fantastic!Like anything, I think something can only be reviewed properly when comparing to something else. I will compare these with the other bluetooth products that I've owned and used, in particular:* Apple Airpods (2nd gen)* Sony WF-1000XM3s* Enacfire E60s - These cost me $40 and were a giant waste of money as they are uncomfortable and sound like hot garbage. The AZ90 Pros are better in every conceivable way.-- Pairing --The initial pairing of the Apple Airpods took hours because it had issues with Apple Cloud. Once that was solved, the Airpods just work. When connected, they stay connected with little to no sound interruptions.The Sonys paired easily and work pretty ok but they have little pops and crackles now and then from the bluetooth connection.The AZ09 Pros paired very quickly and for the most part, work great. There are some connection pops every now and then but it's not as bad as the Sonys but not nearly as good as the Airpods. There is some weirdness though... I'll explain in the sound quality section.-- Sound Quality --I have these things attached to KZ ZAXs. I love how the ZAXs sound with a flat EQ... when wired. Attached to the AZ09 Pros, the bass is exaggerated a little too much. This is easily solved with a slight modification with the EQ (that I normally don't have to do with them wired). This is a mild complaint.AZ09 Pro + ZAX (which were $110 together) sound waaaay better than Airpods (which were $150?).AZ09 Pro + ZAX sound better than Sonys (which were $200).AZ09 Pro + ZAX destroy the Enacfire E60s (which were $40).The only issue here is that there is white noise. You can only hear it when there is nothing playing because it is quiet... but it's loud enough that you notice it. You notice it even more because if you don't listen to anything for about 30 seconds, the amplifier in the AZ09 Pros shuts off essentially abruptly turning off the white noise. Once something on the device you're connected to makes a sound again, the white noise abruptly returns. I'm sure this turning on and off is to save battery but it's annoying and is one of the main causes for sound pops coming from these headphone amps.-- Gaming --One of the reasons I got these instead of just using my Sonys is to game. The latency on my Sonys is over 200ms which atrocious for trying to play games. Using "high performance mode" on the AZ09 Pros takes the latency down to the point where you really don't notice any latency while gaming. If you're really picky and looking for latency, you'll find it. But if you just play a game, you won't notice it anymore. This is awesome!!!-- Quality --For the price, the quality of these bluetooth adapters are great. They get crazy good battery life (I haven't gotten them below 50% no matter how I try), produce great sound (a slight subtraction for exaggerated bass and constant white noise), and come with a nice (yes, very large but perfect for what they are) case. Both the Sonys and the Airpods feel more premium... until you listen to them. The Enacfire E60s are E-waste.-- Overall --I give these things 5 stars because of what you get for the price. The KZ AZ09 Pros in combination with the KZ ZAXs produce portable sound that competes with devices multiples of times more expensive. When the Fiio UTWS5s finally come back into stock, I'm going to get them to pair with my 7hz Timeless Planar Magnetic IEMs. I'm sure that combo will destroy this one in terms of sound quality.... but at 3x the price. Which is why I stand by my 5 star rating.The female voice with the asian accent that KZ used on these AZ09 Pros to do the voice prompts ("Connected", "High Performance Mode", "Standard Mode", etc..) makes me want to give a sixth star as it adds so much character to the AZ09s and reminds you that you're in the ChiFi universe for sure. Great job KZ!

The sound is so effin good, its just amazing.The only gripes I have with this is the case is super-big, no way to fit in my tiny pockets, and the mic quality is excellent, but picks up every sound in my surrounding.Can easily be used with one earpiece.They NEVER lose connection, turn on and off super fast, charge quickly and last forever.You can (of course) pick your own set of earpieces to connect, I chose the KZ Z10 Pro (which I also love) and the combination is simply wonderful.As in the title, the best way to describe the sound: Delicious.Absolutely worth it.

I've always had issues getting good sound, with good volume out of any bluetooth earbud set, but this allows me to get enough volume, and sounds great! I had to tweak the volume coming out of my mixer, and get levels adjusted on the bluetooth transmitter, but I'm extremely happy. 4 stars because battery life could be better, compared to the size of the az09 receivers. when paired to a mixer with tweaked eq, they sound phenomenal, and plenty loud. loudest bluetooth headset I've used hands down.update 2/14/2024 from a 2022 purchase. having great difficulty getting these things to charge after 2 years. nothing has changed with the pins, they magnetically fit in the charge cradle, but the indicator lights don't actually tell you in any way they made charge connection. there is a little give in how they fit in the cradle, and after 2 years, they just don't charge right. there is plenty of life in the built in lithium batteries when they do charge right, but I'll charge the left, listen to it all day, then have to switch to the right when the battery dies, to continue to listen to tv shows, and the right won't be charged because it didn't fit right, or get good connection. very annoying. doesnt' matter which side, they are both doing the same thing.

Works well from day one and 2 years later still going strong. Decent Bluetooth range and quality with very little latency

I liked this item for about 4 months until the right side stopped working...and also shocked my IEM on the right side that it didnt work anymore. It didnt produce anymore sound. If your buying this for excessive use, in your 24/7 scenarios, i wouldnt recommend it. If its in here and there, not being used as much and as a back up pair to your normal earbuds, then go ahead. I work in a place where the humidity and temperature can be very high then going outside where its very cold. I have worked out in these. I have left them idle. When i head crackling, like mini pops from these buds, i knew their time was nearing close. The hooks for me were a bit droopy but since i wore glasses, I nudged it between them and my head so it would be in secure.Points:Does work as intended with KZ IEMSSounds good (When working properly)Breakdowns could lead to IEMS being blown out and inoperableDONT USE EXTENSIVELY
