The Ames Companies, Inc 2584300 True Temper Digging Shovel with Fiberglass Handle

Shovel was good but larger than what I ordered.

Worked quite well and seemed sturdy enough, after one season the handle began to splinter. Not that great, either, when the soil is a bit too clay-like.

Heavy duty. .. a bit heavy for normal soul but I got this shipped to Vietnam tired of time foil shovels with bamboo handles. (not a joke)This shovel is strong enough to dig the compacted clay here in Nam ..it's work bit it gets it done.

Seems like an ok made shovel. I am disappointed that the pictures showed a made in USA label and what arrived was made in China. I would not have spent $50 on a Chinese shovel.

Edit :My only con with this order is why would you need to use 2 separate box's ? Both shovel's could have fit in 1 box, with the packaging material from both box's Not a huge deal. Just putting it out there if you order multiple items, be prepared for multiple box's. :(Other than that perfect, they are the shovel we buy locally. Completely happy with my order.Original :We have been buying these shovels for years from local stores, for construction work. I just started purchasing them through Amazon because I am tired of always running to the store. Its much easier to sit at my computer to order my supplies.Whats to say about a shovel. Well I personally prefer the grip and the fiberglass handle over wood models. This is our first order thru Amazon and I am anxiously optimistic this is the same item we purchased locally.
