GoSportsGolf Putting Alignment Stencil and Gate Set - Versatile Putting Aid for 10+ Drills

This is a great tool to use to help learn to square your putter and body to the hole. There is an option to use the track itself, use the guides without the track or even trace lines onto the green itself. Set-up is so important in putting and this set allows you to verify that you are aligned properly.

I know hitting the driving range would be more fun, but I needed to fix my putting stroke. This thing is making a huge impact, especially on the short ones!!

The guide works best on putts of 6-8 feet unless your stimping over a 10 or so. My putter is a Cleveland brand with standard lie and length. Works best as an aid to groove your putting motion and learn to swing through the putt. My son who is new to golf likes it because his putting needed some help, so great for starter.

Great training tool, great flexibility for different alignments!

This putting aid works great! First off, it feels well made and pretty durable. It comes with a nice carry bag which makes it easy to take with you on the go. The size is also nice and it fits inside my normal size stand golf bag with no issues. I used to be a golf professional and teaching/practicing putting is the most boring for all parties involved - but is the most important, as well - because of all the different drills that can be done with this, it really does help and makes things a little more interesting. There is a sheet that comes with it explaining some of the ways to use it, if you are unsure. All things considered, this is an excellent training aid that I would highly recommend for anyone to have in their golf bag.

Seriously, don’t buy this.***I show you exactly why @ 00:40secs in the video, where I compare this to a putting mirror***.Most importantly, the ball has to be placed ON this aluminum sheet, in a hole. It is basically like placing your ball in a small pitch mark before putting it. The ball has to slightly hop up out of the hole after impact, which is then funneled into the guide after it lands back on the sheet, just like gutters at a bowling alley.Finally, your ball proceeds to exit the funnel, hopping up out of the guide and rolling another inch or so on the sheet, which is then followed by the ball finally dropping onto the putting surface.The fact that the ball does not even start on the putting surface with this training aid is despicable. It is essentially impossible to become a better putter with this product, as it is simply bouncing your ball around and funneling it into the correct direction. You can miss-hit your putt and it does not even matter.I haven’t even mentioned the fact that this product says you can use the various stencil guides to mark chalk lines on the green.To be fair, chalk lines would an excellent remedy to the issues described above, but most golf courses will not let you do that. On the odd chance that they do let you, you definitely should not spend $30 on this. You can easily make straight chalk lines on a green for far less than that, and this putting aid does not even include chalk. In fact, if you want to go this route, you can go ahead and get a chalk-line tool from Amazon or your local hardware store for less than $10. This way, you’ll have a viable tool at home for woodworking and DIY, rather than a $30 liability in your golf bag.The ONLY good thing about this product is the black putter gates, which can be used separately from the aluminum sheet and anchored in with tees. They are a useful tool, although two golf tees at $0.10 total will do the exact same thing.To be totally honest, this is just a bad product, in every way. You are WAY better off using the Tiger Woods gate drill, and/or a putting mirror.I’ve never left worse than a 4 star review until this product, and it truly deserves it. A very compact item to teach yourself the proper putting strokes. It give you instruction on how to set it up for different size putters and a guide to the golf hole. The two items in this putting set are the flat metal plate with holes to set up direction for the golf hole and two metal guides on the side for the putter. It is suggested to place these on a putting green to practice your putting stroke. Since new people interested in golf this may be a problem and not handy to a putting green. I have for years practiced my putting stroke on my carpet at home so I am suggesting with this putting guide, try it at home on your carpet since most lawns are too long for putting. My two pictures are on my carpet with last picture using a glass as my golf hole. Great way to practice your putting stroke at home.I am taking off stars for suggesting to try this out on a putting green. You will have to get permission from Golf Pro or Greens keepers. Golf courses are very protective of their golf greens and practice putting greens for anything but normal putting exercises. Putting Greens have a special low cut grass and take a lot of care. Laying down a metal plate that suggests to anchor it down with eight Tees could damage a golf green. The idea for a new golfer to learn about putting is a good idea but try it at home first.

Took a bit of doing to figure out how this works best for the golfers in the family. All have different putting styles and stances and swings. But, working separately, each of the four of them are sorting out for themselves what and how to make this work to help them putt more consistently and effectively. Having the ability to mark places for each and make note of best placement results for each of them is good too. And can be quickly erased and set up for each of them in just a few minutes. Now they all want one of their own. I see Christmas presents in their futures.
