Works fine, as advertised.
Simple to use, easy clean, worth the price. We used a "roundish" bladed knife, so that you can "rock" your way through the vegetables. Straight bladed knife works poorly, since bottom tends to dish in, so you can't quite get a good bottom cut, leaving stuff still connected together. Great for cabbage-like items, not so good for small tomatos, since they will roll or squeegy out of the way. Excellent for slicing squash, zuchinni, cucumbers, or similar.

One of those "impulse buy" items you shouldn't scroll past.
This was one of those things that randomly pops up on Facebook, tempting you to click through and buy it on impulse. I usual scroll right past those, but this one intrigued me. Once I received mine, I decided impulse buys aren't always bad. It works great. I especially like it for slicing mixed fruit for salad or to mix in with yogurt or ice cream. Simply fill the bowl, put it together, flip it, slice through all slots, twist, slice again, and open and dump it all into a bowl... instant fruit salad. The only "complaint" I have (more of a wish list than complaint) is that I'd like a bigger version... not INSTEAD of this one, but to go along with. I haven't done so yet, but I also plan on trying this out to cut smoked meat into uniform, thin, tender slices. It would require cutting the meat into workable size chunks first, but it seems it should work well.

Made salad making easy for a bachelor
I generally try to move to a more healthy lifestyle, which as a bachelor working long days is sometimes hard cause I just don't have the energy when I come home from work.Decided to try this bowl and quite enjoy it as it has made cutting the salad much easier as well as cleaning up easier. At first I thought the size looked a bit small. However after using it you get a fair sized salad out of it, more than enough for one person to enjoy a quick snack. What I enjoyed most about this was how it kept everything clean. I'd just throw the salad into the bowl, rinse it under the sink since the bowl is effectively a strainer, shake it a little, put the bottom (or lid if you prefer) ontop and then just slice away and pour it all over into a regular bowl. The information about it does list it as being a bowl as well, but I found this to be a bit messy since after rinsing the salad it will be a bit wet, and after cutting it there is a bit of spill from the vegetables like tomatoes, cucumber and pineapple. So using the bowl as a bowl to eat from means you get a bit of spill all over the place. Not ideal. However you can let it rest in the green bottom to catch any spills, but I found it easier to just empty it into a regular bowl. When it comes to cleaning it's super easy. Just hot water, rinse it and done. Sometimes you get little chunks caught in the openings/slits of the bowl, but that is a minor issue especially since the plastic is quite flexible and allows you to easily separate them to let little pieces of salad get loose.Overall this made things much easier for me.No wet water and vegetable juices flowing all over the kitchen counter. No need for a cutting board.Makes a decent size portion of salad.Easy to clean and put away for later use.One thing I do recommend is having a properly sharp knife to go with it and not the plastic / sawtooth blades that show up as "other customers also bought" tips. You want a simple, clean slice to cut the vegetables inside the bowl rather than jerking it back and forth with a sawtooth blade. So get a sharp metal blade to go with it and it will make things even easier!

Seems to work ok
This salad cutter is a good idea, but it really doesn't work as well as I expected. It will only cut a small amount of lettuce and it is difficult to turn to cut in another direction. This allows some pieces of lettuce to remain long and others in very small pieces. The cutter is ok but not great.

Flimsy Design and Difficult to Use
I had great hopes for this product and was really looking forward to being able to have nicely chopped lettuce for my salads. The first problem is that this item is only big enough to hold half a head of lettuce and that is only if the lettuce head is not too big to begin with. You may have to even cut it into thirds if a huge head. The top part of the device is supposed to hold the lettuce in place while you slice through each section but I found it difficult to keep the cover in place as there is no locking feature. You then are supposed to be able to slide the cover around with the head staying place but this doesn't always work. Because of the flimsy design the cover will sometimes come off of the head and you then have a real mess on your hands. My advice- forget this item and just use a regular knife and bowl.

Works Like I Was Hoping it Would. Easy!
I have always disliked cutting up lettuce for salads and when I saw this on Amazon, I decided to order it and I am glad I did. It makes cutting the lettuce so much faster and it cuts it just right. No fuss. It is also great for cutting up fruit! I am very happy with my Salad Cutter Bowl and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get things done easily and quickly. And the price was right.

It does what it's supposed to do I'M AMENDING MY PRIOR REVIEW
I like to eat salad, and I've never really been able to accomplish the "restaurant style" fine chop. So this tempted me, and the price was right.I will say it requires more turns and slices then the videos make it appear. It also requires more effort for each slice than I anticipated. A long heavy knife seems to provide the best result.BUT. Once you get passed the effort and the time, the result is fantastic. And at the end of the day, that's what I want. A good salad. This provides it.I've used the salad cutter bowl for a couple of months now, probably a dozen times. And several of the strips have broken clean off, leaving large gaps in the slicing part. So, while it did was it was supposed to do, it is not durable
