Broan-NuTone SPK110RGBL ChromaComfort Bathroom Exhaust Fan, 110CFM/1.5 Sones, with Sensonic Bluetooth Speaker and 24-color LED Light, Wall Switch included, White

Replaced a basic light with this fan in our vacation home in a dry climate. When we built I was in a rush and didn't think we needed a fan so I just ran one 15a circuit for a light. I wasn't looking forward to crawling into the attic and figuring out how do drop another run of Romex to the switch box so we could control the light and fan separately.So I searched to see if there were exhaust fans with remote controls. Much to my surprise this Broan has the remote that mounts like a traditional wall switch and also color changing LED and speaker. Didn't care out the speaker but it was cheaper than the model without so I gladly paid the $199 so I wouldn't have to run additional electrical.The fan is very powerful and keeps the bathroom steam free even with a hot shower. But best of all the LED light is extremely bright. You can dim it if it's too bright.I'll address some of the negatives I have seen about this light. I think they are from people who haven't taken the few minutes to figure out how it works.The top button on gang box Bluetooth remote always turns the light on to white. It's push on or push off so easy to operate in the dark. The small rocker buttons below the top button dim/brighten the light.The middle button turns on the color mode by pushing and holding briefly. It turns on the last color used. From there you use the same button left or right to change the color. Press again and hold for a couple seconds and it goes into color changing mode. Push the top button and you go back to white. The dimmer buttons also dim the lights in color mode.The bottom button turns the fan on/off. One speed only like most fans.There is no timer function from the remote but the app does have a timer function. Selectable from 5 - 60 minutes. The rest of the app is pretty basic allowing you to turn the light or fan on/off, dim lights, change colors and create color changing scenes. The app doesn't have an option for updating firmware so I wouldn't hold you breath for additional features.We probably won't use the app much. I would have bought the model without the speaker if it was cheaper. Once you make the Bluetooth connection it stays connected even with the app closed. So you will hear typing clicks (at least using an Iphone). It would be nice if it disconnected the BT connection automatically when the app is closed. The app has no control over the speaker. It's just like a basic BT speaker. But it does sound decent for what it is. The BT connection doesn't automatically connect which is a good thing. It would be very annoying if it did.As far as Installation goes the instructions are poor but it installs the same as any other fan so Youtube is helpful. I used the $20 wall vent kit and vented it into our garage which has a 20' ceiling. One less hole in the roof. I've been venting our on demand hot water heater this way for years with no problems.I would choose this fan even for new construction as the color LED option is nice and it compliments our other lights with Kasa color changing bulbs.So even though it's expensive compared to a tradition exhaust fan/light I give it 5 stars.

We love this exhuast fan for our bathroom! The sound is VERY quiet, there are not one but two lights (one white, and one you can make any color of the rainbow for special effects bathroom!), and you can play your music on the speaker. The controls are very intuitive; our contractor installed them on the wall rather than having a remote control that could get lost. The sound through the speaker is good. This seems like very good quality in terms of its build and it was straightforward to install. It seems to work quite well to clear up the steam in the bathroom as well. In fact we liked it so much, we purchased it for our other newly-renovated bathroom.

The media could not be loaded. This light/fan is easy to install. At least that is what my electrician said. I did not cost very much for me to have it installed, for what its worth. I really, really like this fan/light. It has a modern, trendy and stylist look. It is packed with features. The fan itself is quiet. I have heard fans that were more quiet, but this one is still pretty good. It can be used as a regular ceiling light or you can change the color of the light for it to be used as a mood or night light. It has pretty much all your basic colors including blue, green, yellow, purple, red, and orange. You can change the color of the light by using the included remote or an app on your phone.The unit includes a remote control that replaces the fan switch that was already there. So ultimately you can control three features ( the fan, the regular light and the color lights), using only one switch space. I had another similar fan/light installed a few years ago and I had to get another switch installed to use it.The only negative that I can think of with this unit is that the remote is not hook to power and runs on battery. And to replace the remote's battery you must remove the switch cover plate, take out the remote and then change the battery. It is minor, but still takes extra time to do.I really like this like. It has all the features that I was looking for and sets the bar high for any bathroom fan/light that I would follow it with. I highly recommend this fan/light for those looking to take their bathroom to the next level and up their exhaust fan/light combo game.

Installation- It isn't hard putting the new fan in, it's getting the old fan out that is a pain. My wife thought it was a far reach putting an RGB Led lighting in the bathroom until she took her tub and then she got it. I listen to several pod casts while getting ready in the morning and thought a speaker fan would be a good idea. Cons, 1. Fan does not drown out sound or sound quality, But this is not a JBL speaker by any means. If you use a portable sound bar you may still prefer it over the speaker in the fan. 2. Lighting is a 10 in my book but we have only used Blue or Pink so far and we both like it very much for mood. 3. Fan is a 5 could be more silent in my opinion since this is combined with a speaker. If someone has a decibel reader please post the noise level in a 100 sqft bath for comparison. But at half volume you defiantly hear the fan over the sound. 4. Was it worth the money? If I were buying it as a new fan for a glam bath then yes, but no also. Built in speakers and can lighting can achieve the same effects in a more glamorous bath. I bought it because our fan had burned up and needed to be replaced and the one we purchased happened to be an open box from Amazon Warehouse priced at $139 and since the replacement fan was $116, Oh well why not! Pro - 1. Exhausts moisture very well. 2. Kids Love this thing. 3. Best nightlight ever for baths. 4. It's just fun when doing all those bathroom things that are normally boring and tasking.

This fan is really cool.Everything works as described.The colored lights are fun the fan is super quiet and the Bluetooth is easy to connect. The speaker volume doesn’t go too loud but other than that I definitely recommend.
