Q: Do keyfit carseats work with the fit2 base? do fit2 carseats work with the keyfit base?

No, unfortunately they do not. We tried our fit 2 seat with the keyfit base, but it does not work.

Q: Can this base be used with fit2 air as well?

The Fit2 infant car seat base will accept any of the Chicco Fit2 infant car seats.
